I do a lot of map making at a local non profit. Recently they moved the majority of their files into a shared Google Drive. You can access anything in the drive from any of the computer. They have ArcGIS Desktop 10.6 However we have run into an issue when it comes to maps. Here is an example: A map is made on computer A, all layers in the map are pulled from the shared drive and the map is then saved in said drive. Another user tries to open the map on computer B for review. Though the map file is visible in the drive, when opened it is blank and the data links are broken. The map can still be opened on computer A and looks normal. Is there a way to prevent this from happening? I would like to be able to make maps without having to worry about who will need access to view it or from where.

I do not have access to the data at the moment so I am unsure what the field type is for the date field. Thank you Katie Cullen and Mark Binder for both of your suggestions. I will try them both and post my results.

I am not sure what is happening, but when I enable time on a layer and share it as a service, the resulting upload is dysfunctional as the attribute data for the time enabled layer is missing. My time enabled point layer contains a total of 608 attributes for 32 sites (19 instances for each site). I shared this time enabled layer as a service on ArcGIS online, and when I checked out the new feature layer (hosted) online all 608 attributes are missing from the point layer and my points are missing from the map. I can open the attribute table and see the column titles though they are empty of data. The time slider is also present and even depicts the correct time frame though there is nothing to animate. I can share the same point layer with time disabled as a service, and the 608 attributes are present. I should mention that when creating and adjusting the time enabled layer using ArcGIS Desktop, the time slider works perfectly and the data displays without issue. Prior to uploading the time enabled layer as a service, I made sure to correct all of the errors that were found (such as needing templates and having an in memory join).

I have just started using ArcGIS 10.1 for my Intro to GIS class. when I installed it, I had some trouble, and now that trouble is biting back. When I click on the find button, it tells me that The address locator is damaged. Would you like to repair it? Access to this resource is forbidden regardless of authorization. Under the location tab I need to select the world geocode service locator, but that isn't in the list of options to select. How do I fix this?
