Hi Geoffrey, I have not used this utility before. I believe you should be able to use the SQL Server Express. If you connect to the instance in SQL Server Management Studio you should see the Instance name in the top left of the object explorer window. Should be something like MACHINENAME\SQLEXPRESS. Normally that would be the default setup for an express instance. You would just have to change the Machinename to match the server you installed SQL Server Express on. Hi Mike, There isn't a specific procedure for Parcel Fabrics versus any other complex geodatabase object. Make sure you have a clear understanding of the requirements needed. There are a few things I would make sure to check and go over before making the transition. You can simply copy and paste the feature dataset from the File Geodatabase into the Enterprise Geodatabase. 1) Make sure you know what geometry storage type you want to use. 10.3.1 Defaults are ST_Geometry for Oracle and Geometry for SQL Server Feature classes in a geodatabase in SQL Server—Help | ArcGIS for Desktop Feature classes in a geodatabase in Oracle—Help | ArcGIS for Desktop 2) Understand the versioning structure with Parcel Fabric editing. Parcel Fabric editing only supports child versions off of the Default version. Grandchild versions are not supported for Parcel Fabric editing. Also important, Parcel fabric versions and edit locking found in the documentation below. Hi Martin, Understandable. Do you have any services or anything that would aquire that lock at 3PM? You should also be able to track who is acquiring that lock. The sde_id column in the state_locks table corresponds to the sde_id column in the process_information table. At least you can start tracking who specifically it is. -Sam ... View more

Hi Martin, You also could have one orphaned state lock that is holding up a whole entire lineage. It would be important to reconcile/post all versions, delete all versions, then make sure each and every lock is out of the geodatabase.
