Hi Santiago Horcajo and Robert Scheitlin, GISP, I have gone and logged a bug for this issue: BUG-000101026 : Adding multiple instances of ArcGISImageServiceLayers in the 3.18 JavaScript API produces the error "This deferred has already been resolved". Thank you for pointing it out!

Alex, most of our samples have a basemap switcher. Is this what you are referring to? If so download one of the samples from https://github.com/Esri/arcgis-samples-flex. All, of our examples contain this code. You will need to create a drop-down list with an array of the layer URLs, and create a TiledMapServiceLayer within the map.

v2.8 only supports Internet Explorer 7-9. Unfortunately, there is no matrix for version and browser support. In the future, you can go to this link to find the SDK version you are interested in. Download the SDK and go through the extracted folder to the jshelp folder (\arcgis_js_api\sdk\help\jshelp). Supported browsers can be found at the top of the page. Best, Brad

All, It is looking like the JS Viewer will be released in July. It is currently in public beta, although I'm not sure who's being accepted. I will keep you all posted as I learn more. Brad

Simon, as Michael stated, the current version of the JS API is 3.9. Version 2.X is currently a mature product, and will no longer be supported as of June 1, 2014. I would highly suggest migrating to version 3.9. Brad

Hank, It took a bit of searching, but I think I found what you are looking for in the Concepts tab of the JS API documentation. In the sample you provided, the type object within the mediaInfos array is set to "piechart". You will need to change this to "linechart", and then modify the value fields. Here is the documentation: https://developers.arcgis.com/javascript/jshelp/intro_popuptemplate.html I hope this helps! Brad

Hi Jose, Do you mean an Esri ArcGIS Online (AGOL) web map, or services that you are hosting on ArcGIS Server? For AGOL, please see the following link: https://developers.arcgis.com/javascript/jssamples/ags_createwebmapid.html For general map samples, see: https://developers.arcgis.com/javascript/jssamples/ Here is an example using the geoprocessor class: https://developers.arcgis.com/javascript/jssamples/gp_viewshed.html I hope this helps! Michael, Steve's suggestion is definitely the way you want to go. You can also use the more general extent-change event handler. The full code to turn the button on/off based on zoom level is the following. Just change the level, which is set at 13 in this example: map.on("extent-change", changeZoom);
function changeZoom(evt){
if (evt.lod.level > 13) {
alert("Current Scale is high: " + evt.lod.level);
document.getElementById("btnBufferTool").disabled = true;
}
else {
alert("Current Scale is low: " + evt.lod.level);
document.getElementById("btnBufferTool").disabled = false;
}
} Brad

Vikram, When using the PrintTemplate, be sure to include LegendLayer. As for the custom basemap, is the basemap reference a global variable? I believe it should be. I hope this helps. Brad

Hi Michael, You can always peruse the samples here: https://developers.arcgis.com/javascript/jssamples/ I think the following two samples will be helpful. Populates a dropdown, queries based on the selected choice: https://developers.arcgis.com/javascript/jssamples/time_streetTrees.html Finds features based on various characteristics. Instead of a search field, the sample could be modified to a dropdown list: https://developers.arcgis.com/javascript/jssamples/find_map.html Best, Brad
