My field map app crashes when I take a picture about 90% of the time. If there's any fix for this, please let me know.

Hi Spencer, I also work with the 3D Basemaps solution. There is really a lot of manual polygon updating you'll need to do to get good results with the 3D Buildings. It takes some effort and practice. You may also consider playing with the input parameters in the 'create buildings' task in the 'publish buildings' task set.

Hi @Gert_van_Maren thanks for responding to my inquiry. The script is throwing an error on the first las file it grabs. All of the las files have the same CS. I tried removing that specific file from the lasd and it does the same thing. I used the extract las tool and removed the vertical CS from the lasd and it threw a different error (no features were found, I believe.) Here is the CS information on that specific las file: This could certainly be an issue of the user not knowing what she doesn't know and if so, I'd like to learn! To get around this, and in the interest of time, I created the trees running surface analysis and didn't have this issue. I would certainly prefer to do it with cluster analysis if possible. Looking forward to some resolution 🙂 Thanks again

Hello, Wondering if I can get some assistance with an issue I am experiencing with a task in the 3D basemaps solution. I'm trying to run the 'extract tree points using cluster analysis' task and am having a coordinate system issue for my LASD. Here's a picture of the error: And here's a picture of the spatial reference information of the lasd (the individual tiles are all the same): To me, it looks like all the units are in feet for the Projected CS, the Geographic CS, and the vertical CS. There's something big I'm missing and would be so grateful if someone could teach me what I need to know. Is there something that doesn't jive between NAVD88 and NAD83? Where should I be looking to see that the 'vertical and linear units' aren't the same? Any guidance is very much appreciated. @NicholasPopovich

Yes, that is correct Danie @DanielWickens, ad thanks for following up. I understand having a URL link in the attribute table is different than an attached photo, and I think I'd like to have both. Ideally, I would like to be able to click on the URL link for the image and it will open up in a new browser window, allowing me to see a larger picture. There is also the question of automating the photo attachment, and URL link population process. For example, if I already have 2,000 photos stored on my computer and I move them to an amazon bucket, all I have to do is change the beginning of the url to the address of the amazon bucket, and when I click on the link in my attribute table of the specific gravesite, my photo opens up in a new window and all is gravy. I just needed to do a simple 'find and replace' on all photo links in the attribute table. I would be so pleased if there were a slick way to do that with arcgis online too. The only way I have been able to figure this out is to upload them one by one, copy and paste the new url to my attribute table, and they open up in a new window. It works, but obviously not ideal for the time sink it is. Do you happen to know if it's possible for AGOL to let us keep the original file name as it's stored on our local drives and just give a new header like amazon does?

I've implemented this solution and it's wonderful! Now, I want to be able to upload all the photos to my agol account that people can take when they go to the cemetery and submit a memorial. The photos get taken and attached to the feature service, which is great. But I'd like to be able to also upload these photos automatically to my AGOL account to get the url to these photos so people can open the photo up in a web browser instead of having to download it when they click the link. Is this possible? Is there an easier way to accomplish what I'm after and I just don't know it yet? Any help is appreciated, thanks a million!

Hello, Hoping someone here can help me with a 3D Basemap issue I'm experiencing @Gert_van_Maren Working with the 3D Basemap solution, I've successfully created buildings and turned them into multipatch buildings, and published them as web layers. Moving on to the publish trees tasks, I'm getting bizarre results when I run the 'create analytical trees' task. Following the task instructions up to that point has gotten me accurate trees, at an accurate height. But when I run the 'create analytical trees' task, it outputs trees that are not at a correct height: They're tiny! A few things to note for anyone who feels compelled to help me: * The tree point feature class (before analytical multipatch trees step) has same CS and VCS as the buildings * the symbology was applied according to instructions in task with different heights based off the height field in the data with a multiplication factor because the data are in feet. * Box is tic'd for display 3D Symbols in real world units. Those were the parameters to define before running the create analytical trees task. After the tiny trees issue I tried the following things to rectify: *opened a new scene and set the CS of the scene to WGS 84 web mercator *selected and exported out a few tree points into a new feature class and made their CS WGS 84 web mercator to match the scene. Ran the create analytical trees tool again. Problem persists. If anyone has any advice on this, I would be so grateful. Thanks! Allison

would be stellar to have the related information pop out to attach to side of screen like it does when looking at attributes in arcpro!
