Hello, professionals. Did anyone experience a problem that ArcGIS Pro project files are missing in a sudden? I cannot reproduce the issue for now, but it happens occasionally on customer's PCs(several PCs in different customer sites). The ArcGIS Pro version is 2.9.2 and serveal other versions also had same issues. - Testing Completed: ArcGIS Project files containing some tools created by Data Interoperability tool (FME Workbench function) are missing in a sudden. This error happens without any error message in various customer sites with different ArcGIS Pro versions. There is no Temp file or file left under Recycle bin. Only geodatabase files but nothing are left. The customer found similar cases online. There is no solution found after searching the Esri community and other online resources. Hello, this is Joora from Esri Korea. The customer wants to remove "Add a Marker" fuction on pop-ups found on Web AppBuilders for security. The customer uses Portal for ArcGIS 10.8.1. This issue occurs the same on ArcGIS Online. It is a default function that shows XY Coordinates of the points on the web map used in Web AppBuilders (both on edit page and view page). It is not found on web maps, but on Web AppBuilders. Here is how to find "Add a marker." 1. Click any point feature to see a pop-up on the web map included in Web AppBuilder. 2. Click ... on the pop-up. 3. Click "Add a marker" and click the blue pin created. You can see the Longitude and Latitude of the pin point. It is not allowed to remove the "Add a marker" function for now. The user needs to get rid of this function as soon as possible, becuase it is an governmental institute. Hello, professionals, I have a problem with Portal for ArcGIS 10.8.1. I cannot connect to my enterprise portal on ArcGIS Pro with my enterprise URL. I cannot sign in with my enterprise account when the window as below appears. Therefore, I cannot publish my layers to the portal. I cannot open storymaps on portal as well. It shows me a loading icon as below. The developer window says "The application has to be accessed through a web server. Consult user guide for detail." The issue happened after I transferred the portal and server machine. I got new machines: one for the portal and one for the server. I connect to the portal using the same domain as previous. I believe the problem is occurring because the domain cannot return the designated ip address(the portal). I am wondering what I can check for the domain application issues. What I've checked is.. - that I can publish 2D feature layers by "adding a geodatabase" on the portal contents page. - that contents are shown on web maps and web scenes. - All of the datastores are validated. - that I cannot add 3D feature on the portal by adding a geodatabase on contents page. - 80 and 443 Ports are open. Hello, professionals. I have a question with ArcGIS Server 10.5.1 and GeoEvent 10.5.1. These servers are installed on Linux. The oracle version is 11g standard. When the user starts servers, the SQL statements appear repeatedly (Please refer below). DELETE FROM SMARTGIS.SDE_logfile_data WHERE logfile_data_id NOT ON (SELECT /* + HASH_AJ */ logfile_data_id from SMARTGIS.SDE_logfiles) I figured the message below appears when the oracle hits the max utilization. I’ve done… changing the oracle DB to “No archive mode” so that it can control the number of process. restarting Oracle DB and Servers. Hello, professionals. I am facing an error when I am trying "New Database Connection" on ArcGIS Pro 2.5. The error says, Failed to connect to the specified DBMS instance. A database connection exception has occurred. Underlying DBMS error[ORA-28040]: No matching authentication protocolNo extended error.]. I'm working on a PC(let's call it, PC*) that ArcGIS Server 10.7.1 is installed. There are variety of oracle client versions including oracle 19c. Recently I added 19c client on PC* to match with the oracle DB version; however, it looks like it is not working well. What I've tested successfully: I successfully connected DB on ArcGIS Pro with my other PC(let's call this PC, PC**). 1. On PC**, I found there is an oracle home file under the path below. D:\oraclexe\app\oracle\product\11.2.0\server\bin 2. I added this directory on Environment variable. 3. On ArcGIS Pro, I successfully added a new database connection. In short, I am wondering why I have to install oracle home on a client PC. I see no need to do so, because the client doesn't necessarily need an oracle home. Please let me know if you have any idea. Thank you so much. --------------------------------------- Updated on April 23rd, 2021 I solved the error by deleting all the lower versions of oracle instant client paths from the environmental variables. Workaround: 0. The oracle client library version must be higher than that of oracle server. 1. You need to delete all the lower versions of oracle instant client paths from the environmental variables. In other words, the only paths you need to remain are 19c oracle client 64bit and 19c oracle client 32bit in this case. - ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Server need an oracle instant client 64bit. - ArcGIS Desktop(ArcCatalog and ArcMap) needs oracle instant client 32bit . 2. Download oracle instant clients from oracle website accordingly-it's free after you sign up. You just need instant client folder to the Server PC(PC*) - don't need to move all the files including .exe files that are downloaded from oracle webpage. 3. Add paths that those clients are downloaded under system environment variable. 4. Stop the ArcGIS Server on Services and restart it. 5. Try "Add New DB Connection" on ArcGIS Pro and ArcCatalog. 6. Finish. Plus, when the ArGIS Datastore that have been validated on Portal for ArcGIS cannot validate the DB connection after editing environment variables, restarting ArcGIS Server solves the problem. Related Error(Error message on ArcGIS Pro):"Failed to connect to the specified DBMS instance. A database connection exception has occurred. Cannot connect to database because the database client software failed to load. Be sure the database client software is installed and configured correctly.." It is necessary to allow the private ArcGIS Online contents to be added BIM360 Esri card(Dashboard). For now, the public contents can be added on BIM360, but private contents can be only added through using a temporary token. The workaround is addressed here: How to load Scene Layers from ArcGIS Online Contents to BIM360? If it is possible for customers to add ArcGIS Online contents on BIM360, he or she would like to keep using the Esri Online services. If the customer can add private contents that are credential to the organizations, it will highly increase the productivity of his work. There are bunch of other apps that can be added on BIM360. Esri should have some specialty and extend the compatibility between itself and BIM360, because there are so many advertisements on their high compatibility. I believe there is lack of resources and guidance for working between AutoCAD/BM360 and Esri products in despite of the advertisement.

Yeah, this issue is related to ENH-000134189. Think it is still impossible to remove the file extent on the Scene of ArcGIS Pro. I checked the Development team is working on it. Hopefully it is fixed soon. Thank you for double checking. Best, Joora

Thank you for your reply. I also hope the functionality expands very soon so that we can upload private services on the BIM360 dashboards. I am looking for how long the temporary token is usable, since it will bother the user making tokens too frequently. I am going to make an enhancement request for this issue. Hello, this is Joora from Esri Korea. I am so sorry for my late replay and really appreciate your reply. This screenshot of my Scene on ArcGIS Pro 2.5.2. I've unchecked the checkbox under Appearance > File Extent and make it transparent. But the file extent(red boundaries) still appear on the scene. I am upgrading the ArcGIS Pro to 2.6.2 now. I figured that it is possible to load a private service as the Web Mapping Application using a Temporary Token. But the token is only for 2 hours as I figured for now. 1. Go to developers.arcgis.com > Click Dashboard > Click on the Application that you want to use. 2. Click Register App 3. Copy Temporary Token on Notepad and click Launch Application to run the App. 4. Copy App URL 5. Add Query String after App URL from Step 4. URL_from_step4&access_token= 6. Set Temporary token as a parameter value(put the token after "access_token=") URL_from_step4&access_token=Temporary Token 7. Upload URL created from 6 on BIM360 Dashboard Esri Card How to configure cards on BIM360: Customize Dashboards | BIM 360 | Autodesk Knowledge Network 8. Sign in and add the Application. I am wondering if I can make the Token available perpetually. If it is not possible to make it perpetual, it will be nice if someone can let me know what is the maximum period for the Temporary Token. Hope the workaround was helpful for someone who is wondering around between ArcGIS Online and BIM360 as I was. My Team Lead helped me to figure out the workaround above. Hello, this is Joora from Esri Korea. Is there anyone who knows if we can load scene layers from ArcGIS Online My Contents to BIM360? I've successfully load a scene from Living Atlas of the World(shared on public) to BIM360. Workaround to add layer from Living Atlas of the World on BIM360 Dashboard: 1. Copy URL from Web Scene. 2. Add URL on BIM360 Dashboard. But I was not able to load a web layers including a web scene that are included in My Contents or Group Contents(Sharing status: Private or Group). There was a message saying "www.arcgis.com refused to connect.(translated from Korean)" when I try to sign in on BIM360 Dashboard. ArcGIS Pro is activated on BIM360 already(Added a Esri App Card on BIM360). I followed direction to connect ArcGIS Pro to BIM360 found on the following web page. Please allow to remove file extent for LAS on ArcGIS Pro. Loaded LAS data on ArcMap, ArcScene, and ArcGIS Pro. On ArcGIS Pro, I couldn't remove file extent for LAS. I could make it transparent, but the boundaries were still there. I want to remove the file extent(red boundaries) and export the scene with basemap on a full extent. I want to display points at 1200m map frame scale to see all the data on one sight, but the file extent doesn't disappear). The extent is still there when he save the Scene to pdf. ArcMap and ArcScene can disable the file extent by unchecking "Always display LAS file extents" option. But I have to use ArcGIS Pro because ArcScene doesn't support basemaps. Thank you. Best, Joora
