Hello Everyone! My name is Justin Madron, I am the GIS Project Manager & Analyst at the University of Richmond's Digital Scholarship Lab. We focus on creating maps of American History with a focus on social justice. Our most current project on redlining is titled "Mapping Inequality" and can now be used in the Living Atlas! I just found out about this space and I'm excited to see what others are working on. Happy Mapping!

What a great post, I can't wait to share this with my students in the fall! One thing I would add -- which is similar to getting involved in the GIS Community -- is try to inspire them. Showing other great projects/ inviting speakers really helps kick-start their creativity.

It also seems to work if I completely close the project and re-open it, then re-run the tool.

Has anyone used a project based workbook in any courses? I like the idea of framing the class around a multifaceted problem. I'd love to get your opinions, thanks! Higher Education Instruction and Research Education

Hey Curtis! I have found #collector from arcgis to be a big hit, especially among the STEM faculty as well as some of the Humanities folks. Students really enjoy creating data from their phones and seeing them on a map. Of course, #arcgis storymaps are always exciting. Best of luck!

Hey Latonya Williams, That is great and best of luck in your preparation for the exam. Have you tried any of the Learn ArcGIS lessons? I have found these to be really helpful for students.

I am in the process of designing a "Professional GIS Certificate" at the University of Richmond - School of Professional and Continuing Studies. Students will be eligible to sit for the Esri Desktop Entry Exam once completing the academic certification. What have you found to be the most helpful resources or study material?
