Hi, I've captured a recording of the issue. It is sporadic and is happening for me on my Galaxy S9 on multiple surveys. I am switching phones soon to S21 and will see if it has anything to do with the phone. In the video, I am clicking on the Refresh button 9 times. On the 9th tap is when the refresh screen appears and starts loading. Notice how it grays out on the first tap, but nothing occurs until the 9th. Half a second between each tap, and switching between thumb and index. Update: staff has reported that they deleted Survey123 and redownloaded on their device and Inbox Refresh is now working as expected. I've done this several times as well, but the issue persists for me.

Hello, also looking for elaboration on how to update the Creator field on a hosted feature layer generated from Survey123 form submissions. Because we use the Inbox feature, it's important that the Creator be correct so that our WHERE query of Creator =${username} returns all records collected by a specific username. If Creator is incorrect, we cannot return the correct records. I tried the solution from James of turning off the "Keep track of who created and last updated features" in the Settings on AGOL, bringing the layer into ArcGIS Pro and editing, but the field is still locked. Any further insights on this?

Hi Phil, Are you using AGO or Enterprise? If Enterprise, what version of Portal and what authentiucation type? AGOL, not enterprise. Does this occur on all OS's and devices (ie Windows, iOS, Android etc)? I've tested on Android v10 Galaxy S9, iPhone 7 When you say "all their data disappeared" do you mean only from the Inbox, but then once the refresh occurs successfully, it appears again? Correct, from the inbox. Could it be related to network speed or issues with connectivitiy? Could it be that the query is taking a long time to run, and during that time the Inbox is cleared until all the new records are loaded again? Not network issue, I am testing in my home with good connectivity. How many records are you querying in the Inbox with each refresh, is it only a handful, 100s, 1,000s, 10,000s? Are you using an Inbox where clause query and do you use repeats also with a query? Over 1000 records, the inbox has a query to return only records collected by current user, which is a proxy account with 20+ users collecting data daily. Once the Refresh button is "activated", the refresh only takes a few seconds (with the "searching for records" dialog box). But it appears like I have to hit the refresh button many times before it registers. If I hit it once and wait, the refresh button stays grey for an undetermined length of time (I haven't waited long enough, but clocked over 10mins already). I notice it's working fine on another survey that has less records, but the same current user query. Perhaps it's an issue with max # of records? What is the maximum number I can have refreshing in the inbox?

I'm working with Survey123 version 3.12.277 and receiving complaints from field users that the Refresh button in the Inbox has started not functioning as expected. User says that they hit refresh and all their data disappeared. With testing, I noticed the same issue on my device, except if I kept hitting Refresh (up to 6-7 times) it would eventually refresh. I could not replicate this every time, and in some cases could not get the Inbox to Refresh at all. This issue is happening on multiple surveys. Is this a known bug/version issue? Any advice to help me troubleshoot? Thank you.

@MollyWatson1 I have the same request. I have a spreadsheet that is being updated by end-users and I'm trying to read the data "live" or at least by manually running a script rather than pulling the spreadsheet off of sharepoint then separately running the tools in arcpro.

Thanks Charlie Frye, apparently just messaging you makes it work. Tried it one more time after I sent and works now, not a clue why! Thanks!

Correction the nested map series is the Slide Accordion style if that matters.

Hello Charlie Frye, I've tried your link but am getting request errors. I'm not entirely sure if it's an issue on your end of mine, but any chance you can help clarify the steps for nesting story map series tabs? I've created two story map series, one main story map series tab themed and one story map series cascade themed that I'd like to nest. While selecting the Tab in the main map series that I wish the nest to sit under, I go to "Add", then choose "Web page" as my Content, then add the second web map series URL into the Webpage link box. I've got a title filled in as well, but the "ADD" button remains greyed out. Any ideas what I'm missing here?

It would be very useful for the Date Selector Widget in Operations Dashboard to filter using multiple attributes as in the other Category selectors. For example, I am filtering projects by date and need to be able to query both the Start Date and End Date as one Category. (Started on on this date and Ended before this date). Since we have many projects that span over multiple years, we need to take into account both when it started and whether it is completed. Filter options in List Widget Filter options in Date Selector Widget (unable to choose field) Thanks for your consideration.

So apparently it worked, but it never finished "Applying Updates". I clicked the X (Cancel) and then checked my feature layer. All of my appended data was there. Phew!

Having the same issue today with a .csv file. Has been "Applying Updates" for at least 10 mins now....afraid to cancel for fear of affecting my original data. Only 45 new features being appended. I used the map fields option as my fields were slightly different in name. Any advice?

I have a similar issue getting stuck on "Getting Information" when trying to re-publish a Survey from Connect (3.3.51). I have just added 3 new hidden text fields to a repeat section of the form (related table). The fields seem to be working great (tested calculations), but when I go to republish the form, I acknowledge that I've added new fields and say YES overwrite, but it just gets stuck on the first step, "Getting Information" and never progresses. I've tried "deleting" the iteminfo file (moved it to a local folder), which just created another survey on Connect which is now also linked to the same SurveyDesign folder (so I have two surveys of the same name pointing to same folder). I put the iteminfo file back and redownloaded the survey from AGO and re-added the fields, still getting stuck. On the help pages it says that you can add new fields to a Survey without having to recreate the Feature Service. I would really like it if this were true as it would add a lot of work to my methodology if not. Any help is appreciated!!

Yes, indeed. The issue was simple syntax it turns out, a parentheses missing on the print statement which made the ms.export function fall within the print function. The error threw off my troubleshooting!

Thank you for the tip on formatting Dan Patterson, I knew there was a better way! The path is OK, and I got the code to work somehow without modifying anything, I simply had to run each line of code on it's own, slightly painful..... If I figure out what happened I'll post my solution. Also I should mention I'm running within ArcGIS Pro Python Window.
