I'm guessing the Vincenty code might be wrong or it is not proper for the coordinate system then. The Distance(pnt1,pnt2,"meters") gives the planar distance, so doesn't account for earth's curvature.

Hey Xander, I have a result where it's zoomed in all the way. Measured Distance = 4.04 Meters Arcade Code Vincenty Formula (Also just used the MetersToLatLon): 166.62 Meters

Using Arcade Code, I've obtained the coordinates between two points and used Vincenty's Formula to calculate the distance between the two points; however, it's not as accurate as the measure tool in the Web Map. I was wondering what the correct formula I should use for calculating the distance between two points using their coordinates.(I know it depends on the coordinate system, but I thought WGS 1984 would be Vincenty's Formula.) I also don't want the Planar Distance... so no Distance(Feature1,Feature2) please. Vincenty's function Vincenty(lat1,lon1,lat2,lon2){ var x = PI / 180; var latone = lat1 * x; var lonone = lon1 * x; var lattwo = lat2 * x; var lontwo = lon2 * x; var deistance = 2 * asin(sqrt(pow(sin((lat1-lat2)/2),2) + cos(lat1) * cos(lat2) * pow(sin((lon1 - lon2) / 2), 2))); return deistance * 6378137; } How I Get the Coordinates var xthis = Round(Geometry($feature).X,2); var ythis = Round(Geometry

Hi Kelly, So I have a layer that contains a bunch of bridge points. I don't want users to be able to MOVE or ADD any bridges. The bridge points have a ONE to MANY relation with a table called "Inspection_Report." The users can add a relate(report) to the bridges and edit the fields of this relate/report. Regards, Scott

AGOL - Is it possible to make a feature layer not movable, not able to add more features but be able to EDIT the attributes & Add More relates to it? For instance, I have a layer that is a bunch of points and users can add new relate tables to each point. -Don't want the users to be able to move the points or edit the actual point layer (just want them to be able to edit and add the relates to the points)

That or allow for Style Symbology Arcade Expressions access the other arcade expressions in the pop-ups.

The Distance function gives a planar distance. However, I would like the distance accounting for the earth's curvature / coordinate system.. where it is similar to the measuring tool in AGOL. Is there another way in arcade to make an expression calculate the distance accounting for the coordinate system & earth's curvature so that it is very similar to the measuring tool in ArcGIS Online? I've tried a function (Curvature Testing) like this: algorithm - Calculate distance between two latitude-longitude points? (Haversine formula) - Stack Overflow and it is close to the measuring tool but not quite.

Is it possibly to access an "on the fly" arcade expression that you've made and symbolize feature layers based on that? The arcade expression returns a date difference value and that date is constantly changing because it uses Now() in it's calculation. Is it not possible to access that arcade field through symbols/filters/etc rather than having to make another expression in the symbolology dropdown? I also noticed that the symbology expression doesn't allow for FeatureSet functions as well. Is this a limitation of Arcade Expressions?

Thanks Xander, I figured it out. I think what happened was one field was indexed while the other field wasn't indexed(*).

Hey Xander, Thanks again for the reply. I'm a bit confused at the line: var cnt = Count(related_data);
it seems to generate an error message. My Feature1 is a point layer and it has an attribute table that is related to Feature2 which is just a CSV layer/table. They are related with a 1:many relationship through having a ID_TEXT field. Do the two features have to have the same Name/Alias for the related field? I'm using ID_TEXT for feature 1 and TEXT_ID for feature 2. Thanks again.

Through a Web Map in ArcGIS Online, I'm creating a field in Feature #1 and Feature #1 is related to Feature #2. Is there a way to get the specific values in Feature #2 that are related via for an Arcade expression in Feature #1? It's a 1 to many relate and related through a Text ID Field that they both have. EDIT: I think it has something to do with FeatureSetBy functions
