I'm working on a project which originally required me to deliver a GDB to the client. Now at the end, they have decided they want a MPK instead. The project was created in Pro, and the client only uses Map. Is there any way to export an MPK from pro or convert MPKX to MPK? I can think of many reasons why this isn't possible/available (particularly with map being retired in 2022), but still asking on the off chance I've missed something.

"I have just come across the same challenge, and feel like I figured that out, so positing my solution here. " I think you have figured it out; worked perfectly for my project joining 19 years of Quarterly data to 68 Districts.

I would use this feature all the time. Until then, QGIS already has the DEMto3D plugin that works quite well.

Yes, that's what I was thinking. I picture it being used mostly with Arcade in AGOL or Pro with symbol property connections (perhaps making for interesting animations).

Hi Xander Bakker, Thanks for the response. At least I know that I don't need to spend any more time trying to make this work. I took your recommendation and posted the idea: https://community.esri.com/ideas/15975

This would be a variable used for time enabled data/maps, such as maps using sliders. The variable would reference the current time being displayed in the map or on the slider. This variable would allow new options for creating dynamic text/calculations in Arc Pro and AGOL, while also allowing dynamic symbology to be created. An example of application was given in the following forum post: https://community.esri.com/message/819371-re-arcade-returning-the-date-for-time-enabled-data-frame?commentID=819371&et=w… "For instance, if I wanted to create an arcade formula that changed symbology based on the difference between the date that the feature was created and the year currently being displayed in the time slider (say the feature was created in 2001, and each year that passed on the slider I wanted the transparency to increase or size to decrease...slider year - 2001 ....)? Or if I had a pop-up, and wanted the current date of the time slider to be shown."

Is it possible to use arcade to return the date that is currently being shown in a time enabled map? For instance, if I wanted to create an arcade formula that changed symbology based on the difference between the date that the feature was created and the year currently being displayed in the time slider (say the feature was created in 2001, and each year that passed on the slider I wanted the transparency to increase or size to decrease...slider year - 2001 ....)? Or if I had a pop-up, and wanted the current date of the time slider to be shown. The only functions I've been able to find return the current date on the machine. Something like max($feature.<date_field>) also will not work, as the max function appears to query the data row, not the column.

Hi Scott, 1. All my projects sit under the ArcGIS Project folder in my C drive. I didn't move or rename any. 2. My .aprx is not empty, appears to have the appropriate size for the project's content. 3. I have left projects overnight while the computer was hibernating at stages. However, in both instances the error occurred, I had saved the day before and shutdown ArcPro and the issue started the next day when I tried to relaunch. 4. AVG. I've searched quite a bit too, and have not seen any response from ESRI on the issue. At this point, I'm not as worried about recovering work as I am about finding out how to avoid the error occurring again.

Has anyone had any success hearing back from ESRI? I've now lost 3 projects to the same error. ESRI support got back to me basically saying "oh its because you have saved the project under a newer version than is on the computer". Makes me think they didn't even read the issue I was having....particularly since I stated that I had not run any updates on Pro, I don't use pro on any other machines, and no file locations/names had been change when the error start. I went ahead and updated to the most current version and still received the error.. Mostly, I want to know how to avoid triggering the error for my other projects, as some have several weeks of work behind them.

100% agree, WHEN or DECODE are typically what people are looking for instead of IIF for long statements. I only end up with long nested IIF statements when I don't originally intend on having a long formula...but things sort of keep adding as I play and I know the project is a one-off. I guess the purpose of my post was to answer the original question "is multiple IIF() statements on a single field a limitation of arcade?". To which the answer was no, multiple IIF stamens can be combined for the given application.

For future reference to other people who see this, iif statements can be nested in either the <true value> or <false value>...or even both. It is my preference to structure the statements in a way that it pares down the consecutive false results, simply because it is cleaner to write and easier to follow.

iif(<condition>,<true value>,<false value>) With arcade language, it is possible to create nested iif formulas by adding additional iif stamens inside the <false value> output. They end up being loaded with parentheses at the end(if you had over 30, your last line will have over 30 parentheses), but are easy to script and do work well as single expressions in popups for ArcOnline. Your sample would look something like this: IIF($feature.field == 'apple','fruit', IIF($feature.field == 'carrot','ewwwwww', IIF($feature.field == 'candy','yummy',''))) The formula starts with an initial iif statement, nests a second iif in the firsts <false value>, and then nests a third iif in the second <false value>. This can go pretty far, I've tried it 22 deep before. Just remember to put something for the last <false value> criteria to close everything off. Here is another example I used recently for a field calculator to collect 71 numeric categories into 11 numeric groups: iif($feature.Class_2012 <=9 , 1, iif($feature.Class_2012 <=19, 2, iif($feature.Class_2012 <=29, 3, iif($feature.Class_2012 == 30, 4, iif($feature.Class_2012 == 33, 5, iif($feature.Class_2012 <=41, 6, iif($feature.Class_2012 <=44, 7, iif($feature.Class_2012 <=46, 8, iif($feature.Class_2012 == 47, 9, iif($feature.Class_2012 <=59, 10, iif($feature.Class_2012 >= 60, 11,0)))))))))))
