I've tried it with everyone's suggestions and it is and still having the same issues. I think it is Esri being Esri and chalking it up to that. I wish they would make this a lot more user friendly

I am trying to add users through the Createusers.bat tool and it does not work it keeps giving me an error that it cannot read the file, it gets Incorrect Format in line incorrect format in line. I have tried several ways and it several different ways and it still has not work. I am putting it in as username@domain|viewer|viewer, which is the way I was told and yet it still gives me the same error. Am I doing something wrong or is this another useless tool that was developed by ESRI

Ally, What I found that works is to republish the data reviewer service from a computer that is using ArcGIS 10.7.1 This usually fixes the problem. The problem involves backwards comparability with a previous version of ArcGIS. In our case the user who was having this problem was part of a test group who had upgraded to 10.7.1 prior till we rolled it out to the full user community and upgraded our ArcGIS Enterprise system. This seemed to work. However, when we posed this to ESRI, they told us it was part of a bug that had been around since 10.2.1 and that they didn't not have an answer or a solution to fix it in typical ESRI fashion. Hopefully this answers your questions, please let me know if there's anything else you need. Thanks, Andrew

In addition, this is what one of my colleagues sent me today as he was testing out data reviewer as well. He set the naming workflow up in staging. Now all versions match however, ut did not solve the problem. When you select and zoom to feature it still selects two records, one from the 911 feature class and one form the street name feature class, based on the object id. I created a new session in data reviewer and got the same problem again. So, he created another session, and this time ran a table query on dominant routes and wrote the results to the data reviewer workspace. When I do the record selection, now it grabs all data with the same object id. His next step may be to set up a new data reviewer work space and see what happens. Would this be something with the software or something with the database he is working with

I have just upgraded two users in my organization to ArcGIS 10.7.1 and we've noticed a couple of issues that surfaced after the review and was wondering if anyone else has had these issues. The first issue involves the number of records that the the user gets when he selects and zooms to feature. Since the update, data reviewer now selects records in two tables when choosing to zoom to feature. Is this common in 10.7.1 or is it a bug we have found. If so does anyone have a solution that can fix it The selection is based on the object id. We tested it on another PC that still had 10.6.1 running and did not observe the issue. I have attached two screen shots illustrating the problem. The second issue involves the setup . After we installed ArcGIS 10.7.1, the user cannot directly zoom to the road feature that they are trying to work on. After trying to use the select by attribute they receive a .net error stating that basically, the DOT.net is corrupt and needs to be repaired. After having to either run repair or uninstall and reinstall .net framework and then running a repair on the entire ArcGIS install to fix the problem. Are there any other users that are experiencing it or is this a one off. IF so what is he or she doing to fix it. We're in the process of upgrading from 10.6.1 to 10.7.1 and the enterprise is using 10.6.1. Please let me know what you find. Thanks Andrew

Yes we are as well, I believe that has to do with how the security in Portal and the security in AGO not matching up. Somehow the security and permissions you've set in portal do not match up with the security and permissions you set up in ArcGIS online. The permissions are copied over from AGO when the dataset is copied into portal. This causes a mismatch in the dataset thus prompting for a username and password. I found that if you allow anonymous access for the dataset, copy it over, and then remove it from AGO, it breaks the link thus allowing you to work with that dataset. Hopefully that makes sense. Please let me know if that works for you. Thanks Andrew

Jonathan, To answer your questions. 1. The cert is straight out of the box because I had to do a restore on my Portal for ArcGIS because of an unrelated issue. 2. I have not made any changes to config especially the PrivatePortalURL { "portalUrl": "https://gisdev.transportation.wv.gov/portal", "privatePortalUrl": ", https://internalportalname.domain.gov:7443/arcgis", 3. I have tried to publish something again today after I had repaired portal and was getting the same Error. 4. I was able to go to the site but when checked the self signed cert, it was saying I was not logged it even though I am. Would that have anything to do with it? 5. Is there any work around at step two that you know of to fix the problem I have had a chance to read your other post and followed that to a tee and still had the same result. Please let me know if you can figure out a solution. Thanks. Andrew

I am trying this on our staging environment where all the portal and server on the same machine. I have to put it on our production too where we are running two servers on two separate machines than the portal. What is HA if you don't mind me asking I have tried what you said above and and am able to reach my security config. I went into the server config and even added the arcgis/sharing/rest to the private URL. It didn't work I now get this error Publish exception 'Server machine 'https://internalportalname.domain.gov:443/arcgis/sharing/rest/sharing/rest/community/self' returned an error. 'Invalid URL'' . Do you have any further suggestions.

We are trying to create a ublish a hosted layer from a shapefile that we're importing from a ZIP folder. When we go to import it we keep getting an error, I have gone in checked the error logs and get the following error ERROR 001506: Failed to download the data for the portal item. Failed to execute (Publish Portal Service). Failed. Failed to execute (Publish Portal Service). I have also published the shapefile directly and then create the feature and it didn't work . I also tried publishing from ArcGIS Pro and got the same error checked the ESRI documentation and it was I got Portal's hosted server cannot access the data referenced by the item that will be published as a service. Solution Ensure that portal's hosted server has permissions to access the data referenced by the item that you want to publish. See Making your data accessible to ArcGIS Server for more information.. Do you know what is going on? Is it a configuration issue? Is there something I'm missing or is it one of the many quirks that makes Portal burdensome

I have wrote the following script to update the locations of the ArcGIS Pro import arcpy, os aprx = arcpy.mp.ArcGISProject('current') lyrFolder = "Z:\\ArcGIS_PRO_Migration\\layerfiles\\" listFC = aprx.listBrokenDataSources() for fc in listFC: lyrFC = str(fc) + (".lyrx") lyrfile = os.path.join(lyrFolder, lyrFC) maps.addLayer(lyrfile) maps.removeLayer(fc) aprx.save() When I go to run it I get the following error Traceback (most recent call last): File "<string>", line 8, in <module> File "c:\program files\arcgis\pro\Resources\arcpy\arcpy\utils.py", line 191, in fn_ return fn(*args, **kw) File "c:\program files\arcgis\pro\Resources\arcpy\arcpy\_mp.py", line 1289, in addLayer return convertArcObjectToPythonObject(self._arc_object.addLayer(*gp_fixargs((add_layer_or_layerfile, add_position), True))) ValueError: Z:\ArcGIS_PRO_Migration\layerfiles\Charleston_County_routesAnno.lyrx However, I have created the layer file and it does exist. What is going on with the script? Is there something I need to improve on or does ArcGIS pro not replace layers automatically. Also I have tried the replace layers knowledge base and it does not replace any layers.

I have created a script and tool for the following to share with the community. However I get the following error when I run it from a python IDE Traceback (most recent call last): File "C:\Python27\ArcGIS10.6\Lib\site-packages\Pythonwin\pywin\framework\scriptutils.py", line 326, in RunScript exec codeObject in __main__.__dict__ File "Z:\replicationscript\replicationScript.py", line 31, in <module> arcpy.SynchronizeChanges_management(sdeConnection, in_replica, replicaGDB1, sync_direction) File "C:\Program Files (x86)\ArcGIS\Desktop10.6\ArcPy\arcpy\management.py", line 1466, in SynchronizeChanges raise e ExecuteError: ERROR 000582: Error occurred during execution. When I run the script in in a python window in ArcGIS, it works. Thinking that, I created a tool where I can add in the different SDE connections in but get the same result. However like the usual ESRI documentation, there is not much on it and what I noticed in ArcGIS that it had to do with the Global ID setup and copying the replica to the server which I don't think it is the case because there would probably be issues when I ran it in the python window in ArcGIS Please let me know what I am doing wrong, I have copied in my script that is not associated with the tool import arcpy, os sdeConnection = "Database Connections\\GTI_PUB_UTM_editor_dbst01.sde" replicaGDB1 = "\\\\executive\\dfs\\DOT DOH D1 Shared\\GIS Database\\GTI_PUB_UTM.gdb" replicaGDB2 = "\\\\executive\\dfs\\DOT DOH D9 Shared\\GIS Database\\GTI_PUB_UTM.gdb" replicaGDB3 = "\\\\executive\\dfs\\DOT DOH D10 Shared\\GIS Database\\GTI_PUB_UTM.gdb" replicaGDB4 = "C:\\Users\\e087607\\Desktop\\d2\\GTI_PUB_UTM.gdb" sync_direction = "FROM_GEODATABASE1_TO_2" #Block all connections arcpy.AcceptConnections(sdeConnection, False) # Find Replica names for repName in arcpy.da.ListReplicas(sdeConnection): ListFC = repName.name # Synchronize Changes with district 1 if ListFC == "DBO.D1_Replica": in_replica = ListFC arcpy.SynchronizeChanges_management(sdeConnection, in_replica, replicaGDB1, sync_direction) print "Data has been replicated to District 1 GTI_PUB_UTM" # Synchronize Changes to District 9 elif ListFC == "DBO.d9replica": in_replica = ListFC arcpy.SynchronizeChanges_management(sdeConnection, in_replica, replicaGDB2, sync_direction) print "Data has been replicated to District 9 GTI_PUB_UTM" # Synchronize Changes to District 10 elif ListFC == "DBO.D10_Replica": in_replica = ListFC arcpy.SynchronizeChanges_management(sdeConnection, in_replica, replicaGDB3, sync_direction) print "Data has been replicated to District 10 GTI_PUB_UTM" # Synchronize Changes to District test geodatabase elif ListFC == "DBO.test_replica1": in_replica = ListFC arcpy.SynchronizeChanges_management(sdeConnection, in_replica, replicaGDB4, sync_direction) print "Data has been replicated to D2" # Reconnect Users arcpy.AcceptConnections(sdeConnection, True) Thanks, Andrew

Update, I found the solution of allowing anonymous access to the portal web adapter seems to be the solution but I am not certain how effective it will be with security. I am currently testing that solution on our staging environment but it is looks more and more likely we're going to implement into production. Andrew
