We eagerly await the sketch widget for ExB! This widget will make the platform more usable for shared maps supporting park planning and operations. We look forward to incorporating it into the park service's Park Atlas.

The labels for region names such as "Region 5 Missouri Basin 25 Units" should be stacked. Here's how I built the expression: "Region " + $feature["REG_NUM"] + TextFormatting.NewLine + $feature["REG_NAME"] + TextFormatting.NewLine + $feature["Num_Units"] + " Units"

I enjoyed your post titled "New Labels in ArcGIS Online's Map Viewer Beta" and am particularly interested in the stacked labels bit. My labels are now wrapping in my web map but not when the web map is viewed within a web map app. I'm using the TextFormatting.Newline. Any ideas or fixes for this? Thanks. I was sort of hoping that Arc would by now allow you to select a cell, change the pixel value, and save. And not have to create an interim layer or dataset. I have certain locations where I want to extrude the cell to a certain height in the DEM.

I want to edit a DEM and manually select certain grid cells and change their value. And I want to change the value to particular numbers so would need to do this manually also. Any ideas on how to do this in ArcGIS?

How long can one expect a viewshed analysis to run in ArcGIS with the following parameters: Analysis at each of 3,800 points with results added to produce a single surface result. Set up with "viewshed" tool. Points are arrayed along a linear feature (a hiking trail) totaling approxmately 610 km (381 miles). Trail loops to form a rough oval shape. Points spaced approximately 160 m (0.1 mile) apart. An 8 km (5 mile) analysis extent is used for each point. 10m DEM in mountainous setting. The analysis is running on a server (32gb RAM, 64 bit, Arc v10.1, plenty of drive space). It has been running for nearly 120 hours already.

Is it me or is the current ESRI forum(s) a pale rendition of the former glory of the ArcScripts forum in terms of the volume of scripting solutions readily available and number of new scripts/modules/etc. posted daily?

I need to turn off (hide) certain fields in a file geodatabase if, while editing, a particular value is entered in a particular field. So, if (while in an edit session), Field1 is set to "true", then, turn off Field2, Field3 and Field4. If Field1 is set back to "false", then turn those fields back on an turn off some other fields. I have not found some python script to get me going and am hoping someone in the forum can assist. Thanks.
