Check out the "Remove Attachments" tool in Pro - select the features you want to remove attachments from and export the selection to a table (uncheck maintain attachments in the environments settings when you do this) - in the remove attachments tool, use your feature class is the input data and the exported table is the match table

Any updates on this? Yesterday we successfully downloaded a small area of a map (feature layer has subtypes and multiple date fields) and it worked so though things had been resolved. Unfortunately, as soon as we try and download a larger area we get the same error messages as last week. Have 3 maps using this layer - 1 uses an editable view of the layer, and has spatial restrictions to a relatively small geographic area. It will download. The 2 maps that source the original hosted layer will not download at all for some users and only for very small areas (2 city blocks) for others.

Has any one else run into this issue recently? We have been using photo attachments successfully on a variety of Android devices, but new devices running Android 9 are encountering the exact same issue Zoltan described 3 years ago - allows users to take the photo but when they try to save the photo it bounces them back to the main screen and both the photo and any geometry or attribute edits they made are lost. Have tested with numerous data layers Have tested when the attachment is connected to the feature class and the when the photo is attached to a related table All work fine on devices with Android 6 & 7 but none will work on Android 9 devices. All running the same version of Collector

Hi Colin - Subtypes in Collector are definitely still an issue for us. First noticed this when publishing a new from Pro to hosted feature layer in AGOL (your servers) in April. Went back and checked previous layers, and the subtypes for those no longer work. Have looked at a variety of threads on this topic, and in some ESRI staff have indicated subtypes are not supported in AGOL/Collector while other staff indicate it should work and contact tech support. The example someone provide above about tree species is an excellent example. We are trying to use them for culvert inspections - the material type of the culvert determines the domain for several fields, and in the case of a couple of fields defaults the value to indicate that the field is not applicable for the chosen material type. Have tried using the subtype field to determine the symbology as well as using 'location only' symbology but neither worked.

Did you ever figure out what was causing this? We have also been experiencing sync error with "no details". Mix of iphones and Android tablets, using both data connections & wi-fi. Most of the time (4/5 times?) the data has actually synced, but the off one has not and has had to be backed up from th e device. - for iphone users they get the error, but in the background the # of edits to be synced re-sets to none - for Android users, the # never re-sets and still shows that the edits are waiting to be synced. Field crews are definitely getting frustrated, and they're losing lots of time while we verify that the edits have actually gone through before they can change to a new work area.

Did you find a solution? We are experiencing a similar issue - instead of asking for user name and password it is returning a message that the URL is invalid.

Only a partial fix. Works for area that are already downloaded when 17.0.4 gets installed, but any areas downloaded after the upgrade have the same issue as in 17.0.3. The only difference being the user now gets an error message indicating Collector was unable to update the feature (applies to attributes of all existing features, related records or attachments while offline), vs 17.0.3 where there was no error message.

We are encountering similar issues. Able to create a new feature and related records and able to edit attributes for existing feature. BUT if the user tries to edit attributes in the related table of an existing record, the edits revert back to their original values as soon as the user exits the edit window. Allows user to take a photo to attach, but never actually attaches the photo to the record. No error messages being displayed to user. Have tried this on several different Android devices.
