The Instant App language switcher was updated to include Auto translate (beta) in the June 2024 Update of ArcGIS Online. It is available in 11 Instant Apps templates: 3D Viewer, Atlas, Attachment Viewer, Basic, Nearby, Zone Lookup, Media Map, Interactive Legend, Slider, Sidebar, and Portfolio. What is automatic translation? Auto translate is a new feature in ArcGIS Instant Apps designed to help you translate your app-authored text in Instant Apps. Auto-translate uses machine translation to translate app-authored text into multiple languages automatically. Please visit the Language Switcher blog for more information on what types of text are translated with the Language Switcher. Machine translation is not intended to replace human translators. Auto translation leverages Microsoft's Azure AI Translator Service, a cloud-based neural machine translation service. Automatic translation in Instant Apps follows ArcGIS Online's data security and privacy guidelines. How can I access auto translate in Instant Apps? To access the auto translate feature, open the configuration of an Instant App that has the language switcher. Navigate to the Language Switcher section. Add one or more languages to translate text into, then open the Translation configuration. The translation configuration's top menu now includes a new Auto translate option. Clicking on this will begin the auto translation. Auto translated text can be generated for one or more languages. To generate for languages that already have translations in the configuration, enable the option “Replace existing translations”. What languages are supported? ArcGIS Instant Apps support all the languages supported in ArcGIS Online. For a complete list, visit the documentation. These languages are supported through ArcGIS Online. Additional language support is being considered for a future release. Additional languages will be supported for app-authored text. It would not support Esri-defined text. Will automatic translation cost ArcGIS Online credits? Esri has not yet made a final decision on this direction. While in beta, the use of Auto Translate is free. Will the language switcher (which includes auto-translate) be added to more Instant Apps? Language switcher is currently available in 11 Instant Apps; it will be added to the majority of Instant Apps by the end of 2024. Where should I post my feedback? Please share your feedback or questions with the Esri community.

@BobCarberry3 Zone Lookup was updated to handle related records through the popup. To fix this, you'll need to add the related record content to your popup in the map viewer. You can do this by adding related content you want displayed in the app to each of the school zones. This change was made to improve the support of related records and their formatting in Zone Lookup.

@KenBuja thanks for catching that. The correct URL is https://webapps.maps.arcgis.com/apps/instant/streamflowviewer/index.html?appid=d2e7e9325f3c4dd096c07d83a73b9b98&filter=outletcountry='United States' OR rivercountry='United States

The Streamflow Viewer (beta) Instant app template allows app viewers fast visualization to explore streamflow forecasts. This new app incorporates the latest Living Atlas GEOGloWS streamflow forecasts, which include an interactive graph showing streamflow forecasts through time. The app automatically incorporates the streamflow forecast service, making it simple for anyone with an ArcGIS Online map to publish a web application with an integrated streamflow layer and forecast hydrograph. Setup the app In Streamflow Viewer, you can add any map to the application. There are no data requirements for the app. You do not need to add the streamflow forecast to your webmap; it will be added automatically when you create the app. The app can be created from the Instant Apps home page, the Create app option in the Map Viewer, or the Create web app option from the item details page of a web map. Once you have your map added to the app, you can begin configuring the other available settings: Header —Choose to include or not include a header in the app. Basemap toggle – Choose a basemap to switch to Theme settings—Change the app's appearance by applying dark or light mode, adding a logo to the header, and using custom or predefined colors to style specific elements. Basic map navigation tools —Include Home, Zoom tools, Legend, or Search in the map. Sharing—Add options for app users to share the app. If a stream’s popup and chart are open, the app will be shared with that specific stream. Optionally, include embed and social sharing. This is not a complete list of available options. Disable express mode and/or use the search settings option to find additional options. Interact with the graph and time slider. Clicking on a stream segment will generate a graph of the segment. The graph uses the same 10-day forecast at 3-hour intervals described above for the map. The mean value of the forecast is shown in blue, and a probability range is shown in grey. The range is the 25% to 75% values of the 51 ensemble members. The return period colors and values from the streamflow service are also shown as the corresponding background color of the graph. Use the time slider to animate the forecast on the map and the graph. The streamflow forecast service will update as the slider plays. Road map Streamflow Viewer (beta) will receive additional updates in future releases. These will include support for the US model and the addition of the attribute filter component to the app. URL Params Until the attribute filter is added, you can filter out streams using a URL parameter. This will allow app authors to focus the streams on a specific area. Below are the parameters accepted. Filter by country of origin of a steam Show only streams that originate in a specific country. To filter streams by the origin of the river use rivercountry= and the name of the country In this example, https://webapps.maps.arcgis.com/apps/instant/streamflowviewer/index.html?appid=d2e7e9325f3c4dd096c07d83a73b9b98&rivercountry=United States, limit the streams to those whose flow originates in the United States but misses some upstream reaches that start in Mexico and Canada. Filter by the country a stream ends in Filter streams by the country the stream ends in. To filter streams by the country the stream ends in use outletcountry=. A common use case to make a map for a country and ensure you get all the stream reaches of interest is to use the expression which contains both rivercountry and outletcountry. In this example https://webapps.maps.arcgis.com/apps/instant/streamflowviewer/index.html?appid=d2e7e9325f3c4dd096c07d83a73b9b98&filter=outletcountry='United States' OR rivercountry='United States' includes both rivercountry and outletcountry, which is the way to get all stream reaches of interest for a county.

@DanJohnstonWisDOT We are adding a URL parameter to support hiding layers, which will allow you to accomplish a similar workflow. This functionality will be part of the June update of ArcGIS Online. The parameter will be "hiddenLayers" followed by the layer ID.

@Ed_ Slider and Chart Viewer templates have a legend component; it is the full setup mode of the app in the About Section. Turn off express mode by toggling it off, located in the upper left corner of the configuration. An easy way to find different options in instant apps is the search, located in the upper left corner of the configuration panel, just below the option to disable express mode. Chart Viewer also has the option to show the chart legend (for supported chart types) at the start. This is located in the manage chart section for each chart.

This can be done in Zone Lookup if the features are related. The point related to the polygon will be returned in the search results even when it's outside of the zone. It will be highlighted when the app user mouses over the results in the panel. To set this up, go to full setup mode of the app, and navigate to Zone Lookup > Options. Toggle on "Include related records".

@JuliaReisemann_3J The Reporter Instant App may be helpful to you. The Reporter app allows app users to submit observations about specific locations. The app requires a webmap that contains editable layers. The edit for could be configured to accept general comments. The app is currently in beta and supports submitting and viewing reports. Additional functionality is being planned, and it will eventually support commenting on existing reports and liking/disliking reports. For more information, visit the blog.

@ArmstKP It looks like there is an issue with the time slider in the Media Map template, specifically related to showing features progressively. You could use the Slider template. It contains a time slider and correctly picks up the webmap's settings. It also has more control over the slider settings.
