I've had the exact same issue and solution, querying vector tiles directly would be a godsend. My work around involved three layers. One for viewing (vector tile), one for querying (transparent feature layer) and one for the legend (symbolised completely, but with 0 features to draw). I then set the legend widget to only view the 'legend' layer. The limitation of this method: it cannot be dynamic with your view extent, and doesn't allow the user to fettle the transparency, layer order, etc. without giving away your secret multi-layer method... Craig Shephard‌, Andy Clark, Jeremy Wolff‌ please up vote this idea.

I need to explode all multi-part features in a feature class, editing in arcgis pro 2.2.3 (I want to avoid creating a new feature class using the multipart to singlepart‌). Selecting all features, while the modify features > explode tool is active, still selects single-part features. If I run the tool on this selection, some features are removed, some multi-parts are not exploded and single-part features that it has selected as multi-part still appear as multi-part... The same workflow in arcmap 10.5.1 worked perfectly, and I never had any of the issues described. My solution at the moment is to run the multi-part to single-part tool, and use the output to select features containing the exploded layer before exploding. Has anyone else experienced this? Is this a bug or am I doing something incorrectly to cause this? Thanks in advance

Thanks Philip. I did end up change the design a lot to utilise choice filtering. I will have a play with the null field type method next time.

I currently have 37 'select one' questions, and want to redirect the answers into three fields. I've done this because there are 182 possible answers, but at the moment they are split into 37 fields and I would like to simplify the output and make it more useable. Is there are a way to do this? I've attached the survey form, built with Survey123 Connect, so you can see what I'm talking about. Thanks

No worries Kory. I've found that if you select the straight line option, then go back to trace before starting a path, trace will work. I cannot start with a trace, and I cannot start within a selected polygon or on a selected edge. On a positive note I've noticed 2.1 handles attribute editing a lot better and is generally faster and more responsive. Thanks for all your help.

Hi Kory sure thing. Not sure what's different today, but yesterday I tried editing with only one layer in the project and it wouldn't split. For some reason it is working (as seen below). There are other issues included in the screenshots (in order). I wasn't able to find a reason for trace to not work, it seems random. Thanks for the help everyone.

I recently updated ArcGIS Pro to 2.1.0 and now having an issue with the split and reshape tools, I'll try my best to explain... Splitting: When the feature (to be split) is selected, I cannot start the split inside or on the selected feature boundary. This includes when a neighbouring feature is selected (I cannot start a split inside any selection). It returns an error in the Split tool window "Splitting Line Features failed." If I select the option to allow splitting without a selection, the tool will not start a splitting path and returns the same error message. The split and reshape tools are very temperamental when using the trace option. 9/10 times it won't work, and I'm not sure how to recreate the bug. Usually the trace tool doesn't trace at all and defaults to the line option. Does anyone else have the same/similar issue? Is there anything else I can try before reverting to version 2.0? In my work we have been using ArcMap on a windows tablet, connected to a QSTARZ GPS Receiver via bluetooth. I have read a few posts on Geonet that have similar experiences, and I can agree that bluetooth connectivity is an issue on it's own. ArcGIS Pro needs GPS connectivity. We have almost completely migrated to Pro at the desktop, however cannot progress to Pro in the field without a GPS toolbar. We are trialing Collector, however need functionality Pro/ArcMap provide that Collector cannot.
