I am concerned about receiving an email a short time after purchasing 1000 credits that I had depleted 75% of them when in fact at that time, I had 806.62 credits remaining. I am thinking that the algorithm is not computing accurately. I would think that 250 would be my number to trigger a warning. 1000 – (1000 * 0.75) = 250. The last time I actually depleted credits, I got only a warning that said I had used all of my credits, not any warning that I was getting close. It was explained to me that the algorithm goes back two years in calculating the total credits before computing the 75% used amount. I imagine that most people use the real-time actual credits remaining as a measure of how they need to understand when to replenish. It would be better to get this algorithm right because right now, it’s not very effective. The reports are not helpful, either in this regard. I do like seeing the daily burn rate in my dashboard, and how much I have, but I would think that some additional dashboard items like total amount remaining, total used in 24 hours, and estimated days remaining with current amount at the burn rate in the last 24 hours could be helpful - and when that number (days remaining) gets to 7, an email gets sent out warning that there is only one week estimated before you're out of credits. That could be more effective than going back in the years and looking at the total of which many have been burned and others have been purchased - so you have a "- + - +" set of variables that is not necessarily meaningful. For now, I try to go out and peek every couple of days if I'm not on AGOL doing work. Hope that others are interested in having something better than what we have now.

I was not using the active storms data, but the other one entitled Recent Hurricanes Cyclones and Typhoons https://services9.arcgis.com/RHVPKKiFTONKtxq3/arcgis/rest/services/Recent_Hurricanes_v1/FeatureServer with the summary overview: Summary This layer features tropical storm (hurricanes, typhoons, cyclones) tracks, positions, and observed wind swaths from the past hurricane season for the Atlantic, Pacific, and Indian Basins. 2024 is the past hurricane season. I just wanted to clarify which data I was trying to use. That data that was present (from Beryl, 2024 Hurricane) but is no longer present, so whatever "decides" what data to show via some algorithm, is not showing the technically "past" hurricane season's data for the US (Atlantic) as of now. Bottom line, whatever criteria is used, it appears that the data isn't coming through for the 2024 US hurricane "season" (the last season). As I also mentioned, I am DIY now because the service feed from Living Atlas is not dependable as a source for the past hurricane season. A link that contains the data for these storms is here: NHC GIS Archive - Tropical Cyclone Best Track - year can be changed to find other than 2024 storms... This is mentioned as a source in the Esri Living Atlas Dataset "Recent Hurricanes Cyclones and Typhoons". With the recent firings at NWS/NOAA, likely grabbing historical data while it's still there is something we all need to think about, as well as understanding what our sources for these feeds will be in the future if weather and other federal government feeds cease to exist. I am in the NASA SPoRT Stakeholder group which has announced a stakeholder meeting coming up on April 2nd, and I receive notifications about through the list server here: The Ncep.list.nos-nowcoast-status Archives - people can sign up for notifications on the list server here: Ncep.list.nos-nowcoast-status Info Page I plan on asking questions at the stakeholder meeting if it does go on as scheduled. One of the project managers suggested that people sign up to the Ncep list server to get these updates. For what it's worth - hope it helps people who depend on weather feeds for their work here in Esri-Land. Keep mapping!

Hey Bern, Actually, that one is not the one - here is the link to the one I've been using specifically for hurricanes (Beryl was the topic of my application)... Recent Hurricanes, Cyclones and Typhoons - Overview As of just a minute ago, the USA storms are still not present and the wind swath table is empty.

Hey Bernie - some of the layers in that dataset don't have any data - the wind swath doesn't have any data in it... Definitely something is going on with the feeds that make up that dataset...

I am continuing to work with my map - the 2024 storms apparently migrated off of recent (?) - bottom line, what I added from Living Atlas back in July is not functioning. Here is the data I've been working with. Recent Hurricanes, Cyclones and Typhoons - Overview I added it again - noted the update date is Feb 2025 (of that dataset publication). In the meantime... I checked the source listed in the info/meta data - found the Beryl data are available here: https://www.nhc.noaa.gov/gis/archive_besttrack.php as shapefiles, so I downloaded the Beryl data and will build layers to publish myself so I can use them in my web experience application. I'll just have to do the re-work. Since my topic is Beryl, I'm not going to fret about the other 2024 US storms not being there for now. I did try re-adding from Living Atlas, but the USA storms still do not show up - Helene, Milton... not there. Not the best sceen clip - but you can see the gold color symbols where the storms from Indian Ocean over across into Asia are present, nothing in GOM, Atlantic, or Pacific near the US states or territories, or below. Guess it is good to know how far back "recent" actually goes in the definition of that dataset. It says past hurricane season, which in my thinking would be the one that included Beryl, and the rest to the end of the 2024 season... Maybe I'm off base here... You tell me. So, if you see data for the USA in your map, let me know. I just added this freshly from Living Atlas into my map, so it should be what you are seeing. I have not applied any filters or anything to the data. Thanks

I am seeing data loss from NOAA data (Tropical Product - historical storm data layers) -My last contact with the team at NOAA was 23 of January; something is wrong with the listsrv (no updates); no one responding and the data from ArcGIS Living Atlas is not coming in, either. If someone from the Living Atlas team could let us know about what's happening, that would be awesome. If anyone has any news, that would also be helpful.

Well, I just had an unhappy surprise related to this today 😞 As the effort to see how many credits are remaining is still manual and requires steps whereby one has to LOG IN and look at the dashboard to view credit usage - not helpful or handy, and there is nothing that sends out an alert (no way to figure this that I can find - please help me if there is), so if your balance dips below zero, it puts your site into "restricted" status until you get out there to buy credits and that takes time, which means your site is broken until this process of ordering, fulfilling, and supplying credits again takes place. Maybe a workaround with credit budgeting? I haven't tried this yet, since mostly, we have only 1-2 users doing anything on the site that would consume credits... I'm the admin and the main user... Why is there not an alert setting for administrators for if the site wide credit balance dips down below a threshold set by the admin, enabling the admin to top up before the site breaks? If everyone's favorite coffee ☕company can do this 🤔 real-time with an automatic re-charge capability on the fly... seems like it should be possible 😉 In the meantime, I await the wheels to turn on the transaction so that I an get my site out of jail... Any help would be appreciated. If anyone thinks of anything clever we can do in the meantime that doesn't involve logging in to view the dashboard every morning, please let us know! Thanks!

Working with Esri Leaflet trying to sort out which data can be used in our application, can the Traffic Service be used in a map based in Esri Leaflet code? Any info would be helpful to us. How to form the request to the service would also be of help. Thanks!

This worked, but it was not trivial. I had to uninstall Pro, install the driver, then reinstall from a download - since initially the update was installed "in app" - the order of things was important and the in-app updating didn't leave an .msi file where it needed to be for any "repairs". Might be good for that info about a required driver update to flash up when in app updating is actioned off the about screen in Pro. No messages came up when I did this update - wouldn't it be a good idea to notify? Could be a good thing to let the folks (developers) who put that together know how this might save users frustration 🙂 Not everyone digs into the services to figure out what the problematic file is. Yes, support calls are fine, but just thinking of user's time and frustrations and being taken away from their good work... But, sorry I digressed - thanks for the solution! BTW it is still a bit slow to activate the feature. Hope it gets improved - it's a great thing to have in Pro! Cheers, -Ellen WN

Installed the latest version of ArcGIS Pro as of this date (July 26, 2022) - today. I have some spreadsheets in a folder that I planned to integrate into a data layer but, when I literally touch the item in the catalog it sets off a process and just spins... I suspect that the ExcelToSQLite64 may be implicated. It fires up and when I kill ArcGIS Pro (it's hung - hangs for a long time... over an hour), that is still running. It consumes a very high amount of power and I have to kill it separately. Then I have to reboot my machine to keep it from "thrashing"... Anyone else having this issue? I will be reporting this to Esri Support but wanted to ask if anyone has any thoughts. It doesn't matter which Excel file I "touch" - can't do anything with it - anyway - it just causes this issue and I have to kill my project. Having to use ArcGIS Interoperability Extension Workbench outside of Pro to do any data transforming, etc. Thanks in advance!

Over the past few days I have found issues with some of my layers - sporadic - and it's an overwhelming situation to try to troubleshoot every layer without some sort of auditing capability like we might have with ArcGIS Server, so I have been testing the applications and maps that we expose as our examples in our gallery, as well as some that are otherwise required to work for customers. On one of my layers, I tried to filter out all but one specific feature, and it worked at first - I saved my map, then I viewed it and it's like it forgot. I went in to edit it and couldn't get the filter to work on that layer. I couldn't see what the problem was, so I suspect it must be something related or something is corrupted. Like you point out, I've found that I can't get to the controls in some of my published feature classes, sometimes I get a permissions error. I've even opened some of these up in ArcGIS Pro to try to troubleshoot the data better and interestingly, on the few that I have looked at, the data is still there, so if I were guessing on what this is - it might be something broken in the presentation layers of AGOL Who knows? Hopefully, Esri will fix it pronto since whatever this is seems to be affecting quite a number of people. Fingers crossed! Hang in there and fingers crossed!

Rather than post a lengthy repeat, please follow the link if you are having issues with your hosted features showing up in maps embedded in StoryMaps, the new version of the Map Viewer - or other issues related to these topics. That's what the post in the other thread (link) is about.
