Hi Robert, I know that I can create a new field to designate a specific person, but it won't work with the hosted layer features capabilities: What features can editors see? Editors can only see their own features (requires tracking) What features can editors edit? Editors can only edit their own features (requires tracking) Maybe the creator field is not the perfect way to handle that, but if Esri ArcGIS Online could have another way to handle capabilities, it will be awesome. For example, we could have a field like an 'owner' field that admins could update, and would designate a user in their organization. That field could have automatic behaviour like giving specific permissions to them.

Hosted featured layer has the option 'Keep track of who created and last updated features'. It makes possible to filter what features each user see and can edit. The above option works pretty well when individual users add their own features (e.g.: user fill a form to add a new submission). They are adding their own featueres, and they will be the only user to see them (besides admins). However, when working with multiple users within in an organization, sometimes, it makes sense to be able to create features for specific users and apply ownership of those users manually through the Creator field. Unfortunately, the Creator and Editor field is not editable at all. This option is also useful when migrating layers in order to keep who created and edited the layers. So, enable editing capabilities for Creator and Editor fields in ArcGIS Online on any hosted feature layer, at least for the owner of the layer.

Hi, I've setup a webhook using MS Flow to connect with Survey123. The webhook uses both Triggers events: New record submitted, and Existing record edited. Trigger event New record submitted The webhook is working good when the submission is submitted the first time. I'm able to get all the fields from the form submission with a link to edit the submission: Edit submission: : https://survey123.arcgis.com/share/<surveyId>?mode=edit&objectId=14 Type of feedback: Problem_on_the_trail Type of problem on the Trail: Poor_trail_condition Description of feedback: Good description ObjectId: 14 Trigger event Existing record edited When I click the edit submission link, the form opens with the proper information pre-filled and I can change the information I want. When I click submit, I receive an email (so the trigger is working), but the info in the email is wrong as it only contains the info I changed, and the objectid goes to -1 (instead of the proper objectid). So I get something like this if I just change the field 'Type of problem on the Trail' (other fields are now empty): Edit submission: : https://survey123.arcgis.com/share/<surveyId>?mode=edit&objectId=-1 Type of feedback: Type of problem on the Trail: Tree_on_the_trail Description of feedback: ObjectId: -1 So how come I don't received all info including the updated one with the same webhook? Thanks

Workforce is good to be used with the Workforce Mobile App, but it will be interesting for Workers to be able to fullfill their assignments using Workforce directly from ArcGIS Online (not having to use the mobile app), or just by using a Web Map in the content. So the dispatcher and the workforce could basically use the same interface.

For long survey, it's not always easy to fill the survey in one time using Survey123 Web version (or to allow multiple users filling in the same survey record submission). It will be nice to be able to have a workflow like this: 1. Start a new record submission 2. Fill some questions & Save the submission 3. Send an email to the recipient with an URL allowing him to come back to the submission (e.g.: survey123.com/{SubID} 4. Complete the submission

I want to create a Python Add-In Extension that will look at the layer that is currently being edited, and as well at the features that are being edited. I'm seeing from Esri documentation that they are two properties that seem to correspond to what I'm looking for as currentLayer and editSelection (Extension class—Help | ArcGIS Desktop). I've tried to get info using self.currentLayer or self.editSelection inside any functions such as onChangeFeature(self), onSaveEdits(self), onStartOperation(self), etc. However, self.currentLayer always return None, and self.editSelection is always empty (even if some features have been edited). Does someone knows how to use currentLayer and editSelection properties? Thanks

Privileges in ArcGIS Online should give more possibilities for data/map management like a way to "centralize" things that multiple users can update/manage. ArcGIS Online is good to share contents with other within the organization (for mapping), but it's lacking of functionalities for data. For instance, it's currently possible to "overwrite an hosted feature layers" that was added using ArcGIS Online. That can be done for web layer that you own, but you can also overwrite an existing web layer owned by someone else (if role of the other user is set to Administrator). Things that could be great: - In addition to each user "My Content", should have a "My Organization Content" available to all (or through privileges/groups) - Be able to overwrite content of another user from AGOL or ArcGIS Pro (through a My Organization Content or see other shared user folders/items)
