Add inset box-shadow to the map div?

Hi all,

I am looking to use an inset box-shadow to the map. Using Firefox I noticed that I could do so modifying the style of map-gc (svg). However when I apply the change to the map in my css stylesheet i dont get anything. Any of you have a clue how to a box-shadow? I am using JQuery layout UI.
