Open Data Attribute Popup only closes if you click on it again. Can it close if you click anywhere else on the screen instead?

Our open data portal users are complaining that the attribute popups don't close.  In order to close the popup you have to click on the attribute again, and this isn't always intuitive.  Can it be changed so that the popup closes if you click anywhere else on the screen instead?
