Popup display order has changed since the first post...
Popup display order is controlled by the layer order in the map. Layers at the top of the layer list get their popup displayed first.

I believe the student account works the same way as a personal account. So yes you can join organization groups, with some limitations. See post above.

It may be worth noting that AGOL does support creating feature layer views If you need a different view of the data represented by a single hosted feature layer—for example, you want to apply different editor settings , styles , or filters —create a hosted feature layer view of that hosted feature layer.

What the table is showing in your figure is a related table. To create related tables, you need to use ArcGIS Pro, then publish from Pro to ArcGIS Online. The ArcGIS Online website doesn't allow you to define relationships through the user experience currently. Here's a Pro help topic that explains related tables. Note that the table in Map Viewer doesn't currently support showing related tables. This is something we're working on and will support in a future release. However, both Map Viewer Classic and the item's Data tab both support showing the related tables. Mike

Hi @Bec Are you saying that decimal points are somehow being added to your data for a string field? That would be a very weird bug. It's also strange that it's not happening consistently. In the Functional School Zone field, sometimes 99.0 displays and other times, just 99. Are you showing the exact same data source in Pro and Online? Is that a hosted feature layer? Is it possible that somehow the data was corrupted before publishing to ArcGIS Online? I'd suggest contacting Esri technical support. This is an issue that we'd need to look at the data and understand how it was published to troubleshoot. Mike

@DataOfficer I agree, this would be useful. This information would only show for the item owners and admins. As each layer in the service can have their own query and field visibility, we would need to display this per layer. I'll see what we can do... Mike

@JenFrazer_USFS_NR-GISS-IRIN There are two Map Viewer apps: Map Viewer Map Viewer Classic As an organization administrator, you can configure which app you want to use by default on the Map tab by modifying the organization's settings on the Organization tab. Each member can also configure this through their profile. Individual web maps do have an internal version number supplied by the application that you use to author your web map. Because ArcGIS apps get updated on different timelines, support for new features may come at different times. For example, if we introduce a new drawing option in ArcGIS Online Map Viewer, there may be a delay before ArcGIS Pro releases an update that supports it. Plus, people choose when they want to upgrade to new desktop versions. Thus, a web map may contain an enhanced feature that a given app may not support yet. Web map versions let the apps gracefully handle these differences. In your example, ArcGIS Collector, now deprecated, doesn't support new features in web maps authored in Map Viewer. Thus, the Collector option is hidden. You don't particularly need to worry about the web map version number (you can't really see it), unless you are using older apps that require an older web map version to run--like Collector. Hope this helps, Mike

I don't believe it's possible to show the field name instead of the field alias in the table in map viewer. Is it an option to make the alias the same as the field name? Mike

How about this? Have the GIS Admin own the hosted feature layer and the view layer. Enable editing on the hosted feature layer and share it to a group that Jim is a member of. Jim, or any other member of the group, would be able to edit the layer. The view layer would not be editable and can be shared publicly. If Jim needs to control the layer, for instance, modify item descriptions or configure editing, you might explore using a 'shared update' group (https://doc.arcgis.com/en/arcgis-online/share-maps/create-groups.htm#ESRI_SECTION1_12B3CD7ADAF843DB90182A01824B3152). An admin can create this group. Items in the group can be managed by all group members. This is the closest AGOL gets to shared ownership of items.

In general, the things that cost credits in ArcGIS Online include: File storage (Item storage, cached tile layers, etc) Database storage (storing feature layers) Compute costs (e.g., analysis, geocoding, etc.) If the layer you're referencing in your map, 'LA County public facing cache layer', is not hosted in ArcGIS Online and runs on LA County's GIS server, then it won't cost you credits to use the layer. https://www.esri.com/en-us/arcgis/products/credits/overview https://doc.arcgis.com/en/arcgis-online/administer/credits.htm Hope this helps, Mike

A view layer and its source feature layer can only be owned by the same member. Jim can create a view layer from his hosted layer and share that view layer publicly. As long as editing is disabled on the view layer, nobody will be able to edit. Yet, Jim is free to edit the source feature layer. No republishing is required and the view layer will reflect any edits made to the source feature layer.

Popups have evolved a long way since the original post. Unfortunately, I have not evolved with it :-). However, I would imagine that you could write some arcade code to do what you want. Perhaps this help topic will point you in the right direction. https://doc.arcgis.com/en/arcgis-online/create-maps/configure-pop-ups-mv.htm#ESRI_SECTION1_F5CB09E0313A4DA1BD10F18D875FFC3F

@kstone_ntia I have been able to reproduce your problem transferring ownership of items. The problem is specific to attempting to change owner from the Content tab. We will apply a fix in the next few days. As a workaround, you can go to the item details page of an item and change ownership there. Not ideal because it's one at a time, but a way to do it until the fix is in place. Thanks for reporting the issue.
