Hey guys,
I have ~6000 points sorted in chronological order and I would like to add a buffer to each point based on the distance to the next point (chronological, not nearest). So my buffer size will change with each point and the buffers will overlap. I have a base layer of habitat types (GAP data) and would like to extract the area of each habitat within the buffer of each point. Is there an automated way to do this? I have attached a map with example buffers and would be happy to provide more detail if needed.
