I needed some help figuring out how to get multiple tabs in my shortlist map for a points of interest map.  I want to be able to
categorize the locations into different headings, but so far I can't figure out how to do this.  I know there is a way to do it cause I've seen it done in multiple maps.

The app you posted above is a Map Tour, not a Shortlist.  Those are two different Story Map applications.

Check out this page to clarify what type of story map you are trying to make: http://storymaps.arcgis.com/en/app-list/

Just add your places into your Shortlist web map as separate point layers, one layer for each of the tabs you want to appear.

So for example for my Brazil World Cup Shortlist story map I assembled the points in three different Excel spreadsheets, then exported each spreadsheet as a CSV file, then loaded each of those files into my web map, giving each layer the name I want to use for the tab. Open the web map and click on Content over on the left to see the three layers I added:

Then I (optionally) added some bookmarks, one for each World Cup city, zoomed to the extent of Brazil which is what I want people to see when they first open the story map, saved the web map, and made it public.

Then I just reference that web map so that the Story Map Shortlist app displays it, either by specifying the ID of that map, bc57628b16ee41dca3264d885df2c95f, in the index.html file in my Shortlist installation, or by sending it as a parameter to the Shortlist via the URL, which is what I chose to do:

I have attempted to do what you did, but for some reason this is what I get.

http://gurneeil.maps.arcgis.com/home/item.html?id=a9fef432635d4efbac7ae464965d71b0

Here is the map itself.

I will continue to work with this to see if I can figure it out.

Thanks for all your help.
