How to add Map Service table to ArcMap

Hey,

I published a Map Service (@ Server version 10.1) which includes a stand-alone table.  It published successfully, and has its own REST enpoint.  However, when I bring the Map Service into ArcMap (@ version 10.2), the table is not there.  Additionally, when I export the data via a geodata service, the table doesn't come with it.  Am I missing something, or is the only way to consume the table to do it through some application which can pull in the REST endpoint?

Have you enabled feature access on the service?

Yes I have, and bringing in the feature service into ArcMap yields the same results.
