Why do the amount of views change when looking at the details of the map?

For awhile I have  noticed that the amount of views listed in the group are always substantially less than when I hit the details button for the map. For example the map I made this week says it has been viewed 77 times but when I hit the details button it reads 100 views. Is there a way to get the actual amount of views without having to hit the details button for every map?

In the thread below from October of last year, Esri explains that the views are incorrect when searching e.g. through the organizational link 'most viewed items'. But if you go directly to the details page, those views are correct. No word yet on a fix...

I'm seeing this issue as well. I can't figure out which one would be the correct figure, and I have outlined needs to track this information. It's the best I can do in the absence of tracking views, unique sessions, etc. like I normally could with a webpage. I have big discrepancies e.g. 1100 vs 1850 views. I am capturing views every so often to track internally but this issue is confusing...

Thanks!
