Pop up buffer?

Hello all,

I'm making a map for the first time with ArcGIS online and i really like the pop up function. However I'm using it for water valves and its really hard to get them to pop up on a iPad no matter how close I click/touch.

Is there any way to change it so that you can click further away but still get the valve?

Have you tried using a larger symbol? I seem to recall this may help...but that may only be when the map is viewed in the browser. I'm not sure.
