Can't save thumbnail for web map

I have created a web map in AGOL.  Everything works fine.  But I am trying to set up the "Maps and Apps Gallery", which wants a thumbnail of my web map.  So when I go into the properties of the webmap, change the thumbnail, and hit Save, it just hangs.  I have tried both Firefox and IE9 from two different machines.

Does your map reference an ArcGIS Server service that is behind a firewall and not publicly available?
Are you part of an organization and have configured your own print service?

Yes and I am having the same issue.  Is there a way around it?

The website hanging issue will be addressed in our next update in a few weeks. However, the thumbnail will never be able to reflect the services behind a firewall because they are not accessible to ArcGIS.com. The workflow for now, and the future will be to manually generate your own thumbnail and upload it during editing the item details.
