ArcGIS Server EDN install on Windows 7 workstation

Hi,

I've an EDN license and installing ArcGIS server on my local machine.  Everything worked fine for couple of days and all of a sudden I started getting error message.

Windows could not start the ArcGIS Server service on local Computer.
Error: 1069: The service did not start due to a logon failure.

I checked the windows log and it tells me that:

"The user has not been granted the requested logon type at this machine."  Logon type is 5.

I tried to add arcgis user to the User Rights Assignment but was not able to do it.

Anyone else has any work around to do this?

I assume this is 10.1  Could be permissions issue.  Try running Configure ArcGIS Server Account and see if that helps.  If you go to Computer Management, Services, do you get an error trying to restart ArcGIS Server service? Make sure the Startup type is automatic.
