I am analyzing density and spatial association of two small mammals on a 1 ha trapping grid. The trapping locations are evenly spaced over the grid. Is the density tool in Spatial Analyst accurate enough to interpolate density over this small of an area, or is there another method/program that I should look into? I have heard that Surfer does a better job than ArcMap at interpolation, which makes me wonder how much faith I should have in the density grid.
Any tips for diplaying two density grids at once? I want to be able to display where both species are and at what density during a given season.
