Hello,
I am converting a point shapfile with the point to raster command. Each point represents a forest fire, and each point has the area burned in the attribute table. I want to use this value to create a raster. So that each grid in the raster summarizes the area burned of all the points that fall into that raster.
The command worked well and a raster was created. However, when I go into the properties and change the simbology of the data, I can see in the classify section and then in the Classification statistics that the the total area burned does not agree with the total area burned of the original input point shapefile.
Any idea why?
Were not all the points included, or where am I making a mistake?
Any help is greatly appreciated.
