I have been trying to create a basic raster from an ASCII file with non-real world coordinates. I get this error every time I run the ASCII to Raster command, as well as the 010067 Error in executing grid expression, which is probably related to the first error. I can't even get this simple file to convert:

ncols 2
nrows 2
xllcenter 0
yllcenter 0
cellsize 1
nodata_value -999

1 0 0 1

any thoughts?

Hi Kent,

I used this and it works.  You don't have to run the tool ASCII to Raster.  ASCII files that are formated like this are already recognized by the software as raster datasets.
