Seems like I need to build everything without ever having to close the dialog.  if I do close, when I reopen, and try and save after I have changed something I generate a backup file.  This seems kinda limiting.  I would like to reopen a project, to change parameters, or do you just change the parameters via the xml file thereafter?  The wizard is only for creating brand spanking new add-ins, not necessarily modifying existing add-ins.  Does this make sense?

The wizard is mostly for setting up the controls, but you can reopen an add-in project as much as you'd like. The Python gets backed up just in case you have already made edits -- you can then use a tool like winmerge to reconcile your old .py file with the newly generated one.
