I have a rest service that is composed of 20 layers and is consumed by a javascript Web app.
The layers (county geometry) are all derived from the atrtributes in a single feature/shapefile and currently represent data from 2008. I woud now like to add in my 20 attributes for 2009 and make an additional 20 layers in my ArcView Map.
I have set up the javascript web app to allow users to select which year of data to view and then they can togel on/off the attributes for just that year.
My question is how does ArcGIS Server handle this geometry? Does it send new geometry for every layer even though they have the same source?
Any adivice on how to reduce unnecessary bandwith/processing overhead would be appreciated.
