Anyone successfully deployed ArcGIS Notebook Server 10.7 Or 10.7.1 in Windows Server 2019 Data Center on AWS EC2 Instance (m5.xlarge)?
At present ESRI supporting ArcGIS Notebook Servers in Windows Machines on AWS Instances?
Thanks in advance.
Unfortunately at the moment the Esri Windows AMI's are not capable to properly host/utilize Docker successfully (which ArcGIS Notebook Server needs). The primary issue is Docker requires a virtualization software, such as Hyper V (nested virtualization), and our AMI's do not have this enabled. The other current issue is nested virtualization, I don't believe, is fully supported by AWS. You can try your hand out on a bare bones AWS AMI (https://aws.amazon.com/it/blogs/compute/running-hyper-v-on-amazon-ec2-bare-metal-instances/), but from my experience docker still wont run 100% properly and in turn Notebook Server won't run properly.
I would suggest pursuing an Linux based AMI as the requirements for Docker on a Linux system isn't the same as Windows.
Thank you for your time & Explanation.
