Auto-Refresh Time Slider?

I am using the time-aware template web app to animate a NOAA weather feed and curious if there is a way to automatically refresh the time slider?

Currently the user has to click the refresh button to update the time steps.  I am trying to design an app that does not require user intervention to update.  Basically a quick glance weather map that you might interact with or just let it run and view as needed.
