Hi all,

I have a public web app that has been active for long time and has been functioning without issue until today. I have a link to the app from my website (nelsontrails.co.nz).

Since this morning, I can click on the link to the app which opens the app as usual – BUT after several seconds I am redirected to my organisation’s login page. This is occurring on all browsers and I have not made any changes to layers or map that feed into the app (privacy/sharing etc).

I’m curious to know if anyone else has encountered this issue, and if so, how you solved it!

Cheers

HI Jordan,

There is a layer in your web application that isn't shared publicly, causing the app to ask for a username and password when it loads (https://services7.arcgis.com/Nmg3r3okD4I9SIfk/arcgis/rest/services/MTB_Single_Track/FeatureServer/0?...)

This layer isn't in your webmap as you are using a service named mtb_test as your mountain bike layer.

Are you referencing this layer in a widget like search? I'd suggest either sharing the layer, or adding the already shared layer to your search widget.

Text config of your app:

Excellent, that fixed it. The search items are something I never would have thought about. Thanks for your help!

One other thing you might be able to help with; is there a reason why often upon opening the app, a message displays stating that one or more layers cannot be added to the map? There seems to be no consistency in its occurrence, and refreshing the page always solves it. It's a minor issue, but not ideal for visitors who might not think to refresh the page.

Cheers,

Jordan

The message is a widget that has been configured for this app. Its set to appear every time the app is loaded and is using the splash  screen widget.

Sorry, I'm not not talking about the splash screen widget, I'm talking about the pop up in the image below. Have you seen this before? It seems that a few other people (on GeoNet) have had the issue, but none have found what causes it. As I mentioned, refreshing the page usually solves it, i.e. the layers successfully load into the map.

Cheers
