I have a complete set of GIS tables from our County.  .shp, .dbf, .shx.  How do I load these?

I would recommend the basic online tutorial in ArcGIS Pro's help files

Hi Thomas, the basic steps are:

  1. Create a project
  2. Make a folder connection to your data
  3. Add a map to the project (which happens automatically if you create a project from the Map template)
  4. Add your data as layers to the map

The tutorial Dan mentioned is the first in a series. Take a look at the tutorial Add data to a project, too.

Thomas,

Are you referring to loading this shapefile into ArcGIS Pro? Or are you wanting to load it into ArcGIS Online?

Shapefiles are pretty easy to load to AGOL. Just zip up all those files and add them to the map by click on Add Layer from File

Thanks for your help.  I found the tutorials and they helped me get more familiar with the program.  I then found that the data I was looking for was there all along.  When I clicked on a parcel, the data showed up in a pop-up.  So far so good.  I am now playing around with the data processing section.  That looks a little more complicated ….

Thanks again.
