Extract Landscape Source Data Tool Deprecated

Hi there,

We currently have a tool that uses the Extract Landscape Source Data service to download NWI and NHD hydro data for a given area of interest. We've been recently running into issues accessing the data (fails to download) and the service now appears to be deprecated. A comment at the bottom of the page says the layers are moving to feature services, are those up and running?

For NWI we are currently serving this Map layer: https://www.arcgis.com/home/item.html?id=8f4d417569704a829e5d5ac7e49102db

And tonight we will release the Image layer. You will have the ability to download pieces of the image layer, if a raster is what you are looking for. If you are looking for vectors, we suggest you go straight to the source, and download seamless wetlands data from the USFWS: https://www.fws.gov/wetlands/Data/Data-Download.html

For NHD, we plan to release a new map service in early 2019, and for download we suggest you go straight to the source as they now have NHDPlus High Resolution data available for almost the entire US (from USGS): https://www.usgs.gov/core-science-systems/ngp/national-hydrography/access-national-hydrography-products

We made the decision to encourage our users to download these layers from the agencies directly, as many of these layers are used for regulatory purposes and we want to make sure you are getting the most current and up to date information.
