Hi, my company would like to implement and configure Single Sign On for for ArcGIS Portal using multiple authentication:

  1. Gmail
  2. Office 365

   3.  Portal built-in login (user name and password)

From what I understand, I need to configure multiple Web Adaptors. However, its very tricky for me. The portal is hosted on Azure cloud. Pls help.

Thanks,

Johana

Hello Johana,

In order to configure multiple web adaptor you will have to follow the instructions from the link below:

Configure multiple ArcGIS Web Adaptors—ArcGIS Web Adaptor (IIS) Installation Guide (10.6.1) | ArcGIS...

However, I have listed the authentication options available for Portal for ArcGIS below:

1. Configuring Portal Authentication: http://enterprise.arcgis.com/en/portal/latest/administer/windows/about-configuring-portal-authentica...

2. Enterprise SAML authentication: You need SAML 2.0 complaient identity provider for this. The following link lists few SAML 2.0 complaient identity providers
http://enterprise.arcgis.com/en/portal/latest/administer/windows/about-configuring-portal-authentica...

3. Configure with Active directory or LDAP: http://enterprise.arcgis.com/en/portal/latest/administer/windows/about-configuring-portal-authentica...

For Microsoft Azure cloud you will be able to configure the Enterprise SAML authentication as long as the identity provider is accessible to the Azure cloud.

There is Azure active directory as well, that you can use to setup the Active Directory authentication.
