License access issue

HI

My license manager runs on 10.1.

On one another machine I have upgraded to 10.5.1. But it does not allow me to access the license manager running on 10.1 with an error: ArcGIS for desktop /engine 10.5 cannot connect to previous versions of ArcGIS Lic Manager.

Please ensure that the ARCGIS Lic manager is 10.5 or above.

Do I need to upgrade the Lic manager also to 10.5.1?

You need to upgrade the License Server Admin to 10.5.1

As a side note Support for 10.1 ended at the start of this year.

I would look to upgrade the 10.1 clients when possible as well.
