Hello,

When we publish a service to the ArcGIS server we can set how much computing resources the service can use.

But what happen when we publish hosted services? Can we configure or even know how much resources we use?

How much process (arcgis soc) do we use?

Thank you.

When publishing to ArcGIS Server directly, you're publishing ArcObjects-based services. Those have ArcSOC.exe container processes. When you publish a hosted feature service, you're actually not using the ArcObjects model. Hosted feature services don't have SOC processes.

Hi Randall,

thank you for the answer, so I assume that I have no way of controlling the amount of resources that hosted services is taking from my server is that true?

Can I know just for the purpose of planning my deployment?

Thanks.

That's correct. You can monitor your resources to help you adjust to usage patterns with https://www.esri.com/en-us/arcgis/products/arcgis-monitor/overview
