I have run into a problem with ArcMap 10.5 and the way it exports .tif files. I am exporting a raster object that has a projected coordinate system with the intention of putting it into MATLAB for some further data analysis. The issue I am having is that the metadata defining the projected coordinate system seems to get lost during the export. MATLAB cannot find the projected coordinate system (using geotiffread MATLAB command).
I do not have this problem when using ArcMap 10.2 however. Does anyone know if something has changed in the way that .tif files are exported somewhere between 10.2 and 10.5? Thanks for the help.
