Data Interoperability comes as a separate setup. You need to ask the site administrator of your academic institution (who manages ArcGIS software and licenses) to provide the setup for Data Interoperability extension for ArcGIS Desktop 10.4.1.

Thank you for the quick response!

Must I get a setup from my institution (a university)? I have no time to do this, and besides, I am authorised to have this extension, no? Via a trial.
Is there not a way I can download it from the ESRI website? I have tried making a separate trial account.

Thanks in advanced.

ArcGIS trial now provides only ArcGIS Pro software. ArcMap is not available. You need to contact the University or your local Esri distributor for the setup of Data Interoperability extension for ArcGIS Desktop 10.4.1.
