Adding a Web App (Compare Analysis) to a Map Series Story Map?

I created a Compare Analysis web app. I would then like to use the Map Series Story Map to display multiple compare analysis web apps. I go to add a tab and mark the content as a web page and copy in the URL of the compare analysis web app. The URL tries to load and eventually times out. I tried the same thing with web apps built from webapp builder and it loads perfectly. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Edit: In my web maps I was using a custom basemap. I switched the basemap to Imagery with labels and the map loaded in the Story Map perfectly. However, I would really like to use the basemap I have. Is there anyway around this issue?

HI Oharani54‌,

Are you able to share the web map that you are having issues with? This sounds like a mixed content issue. Is it possible that your story map is using https and your custom basemap is using http? If they are mixed, browsers can experience issues using a secure and insecure protocol. The best practice is to have https enabled on your basemap, but you could also look at changing the Map Series to use http if needed.

Thank you! I changed the basemap to https and it loaded in perfectly. I'll keep this in mind when working on future projects!
