We are excited about the new possibilities that the Story Map Crowdsource Builder provides.

We attempted to add both a AGO feature service and a ArcGIS Server Web Service (raster) from our ArcServer to the webmap associated with our crowdsource storymap.  When we do so the Crowdsource Builder fails see image below with red circled area.

If we add only a AGO feature service (vector) it works.  If we try only the ArcGIS Server Web Service or the Web service and the AGO feature service it fails.

Is this a bug?  Or a functionality not supported yet?  Can anyone think of a work around?

Thanks- Don

Don, to protect the privacy of contributors who log in to participate in the crowdsource app, we require the app to be loaded over a secure https connection. If an app is loaded over https, most modern browsers restrict insecure (http) connections from being used within the map. In order to use this layer in the app, you will need to make sure your server has an SSL Certificate and then add the layer to the map using an https URL.

We expect the next Beta to come out in mid-September.

In the first release of the Beta, we are only fully supporting the layers that are created inside the builder. While some others may work, they have not been tested.

Can you share the layers in question that you are working with?

Here is the AGO feature service:  http://services2.arcgis.com/RPhrOu9XQzI31xTa/arcgis/rest/services/Htn08PolysTest_for_crowdsource/Fea...

Here is the Map Service:  http//gis-core.sabu.mtu.edu:6080/arcgis/rest/services/KeweenawHSDI/Htn08_Polys/MapServer

Is there an anticipated date for the 2nd Beta release?

Thank you for looking into this for us.
