Collector with ArcGIS for Home Use?

I have ArcGIS for home use. The Collector app seems like it could be a very useful tool for me to collect GIS data on my phone while on fishing and hiking trips. I started the online tutorial for preparing your data in ArcGIS https://doc.arcgis.com/en/collector/android/create-maps/prepare-data-desktop.htm  and made it down to the step for publishing your data. In the "publish service" panel, under the "choose a connection" tab, there are no options, and the button to create a new connection is not visible on my screen as it is shown in the tutorial .

Any help is much appreciated.

Have you signed in (File - Sign In...) to ArcGIS Online within ArcMap? If so, it may be that you need to have an organisational account and not a personal one to publish services to AGOL. I have seen posts previously suggest that ArcGIS for Home Use doesn't give you an organisational account by default, so you may need to contact Esri.
