Hi Tom, I'm not sure what exact question you are asking, but ... You can already use TypeScript to create both 3.x and 4.x applications.

See for example https://github.com/Esri/jsapi-resources/tree/master/typescript and demo app at http://esri.github.io/jsapi-resources/typescript/demo.html.

Glad to hear from you, Bjorn! You are right, my question wasn't clear. We are using TypeScript with esri JS API since Jan 2015, but only for none GIS parts. I checked the sample you mentioned before.  But after i red DOJO 2.0 will be written by TypeScript. I am hopping eari can come with more TypeScript sample be written by TypeScript too. This will be make our esri GIS developer life more easier. Anyway, first question I 'd like to ask if version 4.0 built based on dojo 2.0? second question will be if esri is going to write samples in TypeScript?

Looking forward to hear from you. dev summit is coming and will see you again at Palm Springs

Tom,

JSAPI 4.0 is not built on dojo 2.

Dojo 2 isn't released yet. The alpha is planned for Spring 2016. Once it is released (not alpha/beta), we will re-evaluate.
