set up multiple feature classes for collection in Collector

New to Collector and have run through the Damage Assessment tutorial and looked at templates on the site. All information says that Collector can be confirgured to collect points, lines and polygons, but all templates and the tutorial focus on a single feature class. Can someone outline how to configure ArcMap that is published to allow collection of all three types of features. Do you simply create  point, line and polygon feature classes in the geodatabase and define symbology for each?

Yes. If your ArcMap document has those point/line/polygon feature class and you follow the tutorial, you should be able to collect points/lines/polygons.
