Hi,
I am trying to create a Map in Arc10.1 (advanced license, SP1) and getting ver frustrated.

I have an mxd with a key map which shows 1:20,000 map grid and disctrict in BLACK. When I export out the PDF it shows as no color you can see faint white lines (see PDF: DMK_Operating_Plan_50k_TK) A coworker opens the same mxd and exports out the PDF and it shows perfect (see PDF: DMK_Operating_Plan_50k_EP)

Any idea what the HECK is going on? Almost like the black is inverting to white for some reason.. The export settings are identical between my co-worker and I.

I have no idea where to continue looking for a solution

Any Ideas? Please help..

Tina

Instead of:

File > Export Map > Save as type .pdf > Save

Try:

Open .mxd > File > Print > Choose Printer "Adobe PDF Converter" (Properties button) > ok

Thanks for the idea, but that did not work either..

Have you tried printing the maps? If so, do they print with the same issue? Have you tried opening your exported version on another computer?
