Server Search Service is always indexing

We are having an issue where our search service will be in a constant indexing status of 'indexing' and even more odd is that it shows the next scheduled indexing for a date that has already passed. I have attached a screen shot of the problem taken today 3/18 and as you can see, the next scheduled indexing is set for 3/16.

Has anyone else had an issue like this? Is there a known bug/fix for this? I cannot find anything regarding search indexing other than this: http://forums.arcgis.com/threads/20238-Search-Indexing-Error-Message?p=65467&viewfull=1#post65467

I think you may be running into a known issue.
NIM089855: The search service <NextIncrementalIndexingStartTime> and <NextFullIndexingStartTime> time value in the indexingstatus.xml file does not correspond to the incremental interval and full interval values set in the indexingoptions.xml file.

...which I think means that what is displayed on that page does not reflect what you set for the indexing intervals.

Hi kpeter, thanks for responding. Does the two files not matching mean it is actually indexing but not showing this correctly, or if they are not the same in the two files then it fails to correctly index?

Through the help of someone else, I feel like this is the bigger issue that is happening:
