Trying to run the archydro tool 'Line Parameters from 2D line' in ArcGIS Pro and it "completes" successfully, but all of the "Slp" fields are null and the below runtime error shows up in the results.
Based on my understanding there is no background processing checkbox when using pro, so the suggested fix is not a viable option. I have been able to successfully run the ArcMap tool equivalent of "Flow Path Parameters from 2D line" whenever I run in to this issue, but if there's a solution to get this to run in Pro consistently it would save me a lot of headache. My understanding is that the tool reduces the processing extent for each line feature when it is calculating the slope. The issue only occurs when I have a line feature that is too long, therefore creating a processing extent that exceeds the maximum allowed.
I am currently in Pro version 2.8.2 and archydro version 2.8.17, but have had the same issue with previous versions. Thanks!

Can you test with the latest build? This should work correctly now.

Can you share the data?

Christine,
Below is a link to a Lidar set and the line feature we’re trying to get slope values for. Thanks for looking into it.

Hi Christine,
With the latest build I'm getting the following message:
('line 116', 'c:\\program files\\arcgis\\pro\\Resources\\ArcToolbox\\Scripts\\archydro\\lineparametersfrom2dline.py', "AttributeError: type object 'Utils' has no attribute 'getEnvSettings'")
I just tested the setup and it works correctly. It looks like you may have another older version of apwrutils.py on your computer that is missing the function.
Can you do a search and delete it? You will need to restart ArcGIS Pro as well.
Christine
That was indeed the issue. It is working for me now, thanks so much!
