Depth Contours

I am new at mapping off-shore data.

When mapping depth contours, is there a standard color bar to use for each depth range?

I've always seen them shown as blue...but if its just a matter of symbology it should be whatever is easiest for you to see. Also depends on what, if anything, is in the background.
